Woody Allen and his favorite actress Scarlett Johansson have reportedly both agreed to work on New York, I Love You, an anthology film currently in pre-production.  The movie will feature short vignette like directing efforts from several filmmakers such as Anthony Minghella and Mira Nair. Although you might assume that Johansson is appearing in the Woody short, the Post reports that Johansson is actually directing her own story, independent of Woody’s. Details on the films in question are still forthcoming, all that’s known so far is that they will all be love stories and will of course be set in Manhattan. Johansson a New York native and granddaughter of Danish filmmaker Ejner Johansson, is taking the leap with many acting projects in the pipeline, so this must be important enough for her to do some re-arranging of her schedule.

Funnyman on screen, Will Ferrell, apparently doesn’t have much of a sense of humor when approached by his devoted fans. The ex-SNL alumnus turned movie star was voted the rudest celebrity when it comes to signing autographs.

The Emmy and Golden Globe nominated American comedian, actor and writer  is reluctant to stop for fans and is impolite when he does, according to Autograph magazine’s 2007 list of “10 Best and 10 Worst Hollywood Signers.”  The list is based on rankings from autograph collectors in New York, California and Europe.

Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire, who seems mild-mannered and helpful in the movies, is not necessarily so when cornered by fans, according to the publication, coming in a close second. “Tobey has a bit of an attitude, but he will sign,” said Lon Strickler, 49, a Baltimore autograph collector.

“But Will Ferrell, I don’t know what his problem is. He just tries to ignore people.”

Meanwhile, for the third year in a row, Johnny Depp was voted the most gracious and approachable celebrity when fans ask for autographs.

New York autograph dealer Anthony Risi told Autograph the soft-spoken Depp “likes to talk to fans and get to know them while signing.”

“He’ll sign more than one item when he has time, too,” he said.

Russell Crowe, ranked among the nastiest signers last year, jumped onto the the nicest list this year. “At one time he was terrible, but I saw him a couple of months ago and he was taking pictures with fans and everything,” Strickler said. “Someone must have said something.”  Sounds like a pretty fickle list to me but I think the top 3 on the nicest list live up to their reputations as intelligent gentlemen.

Scarlett Johansson, 23-year-old Lost In Translation star is angry and threatening legal action over claims in US Weekly magazine that she had plastic or cosmetic surgery on her nose.

Next week’s Us Weekly hits newsstands with a cover story on the ever-present phenomenon of celebrities who undergo plastic surgery. And their cover image, shows two pictures of sex symbol Scarlett Johansson — one when she was younger, the other more current — in what appear to be nose job before/after shots.

Allegedly US Weekly magazine, also quotes her as saying: “I definitely believe in plastic surgery.

“I don’t want to be an old hag. There’s no fun in that.”

But Scarlett, who has been described by director Woody Allen as “criminally sexy”, has vigorously denied she’s had work.
She said in a statement: “I have always been straightforward with the press regarding my body image and I am very concerned that my fans (and perhaps even my employers) will feel mislead.
“Thus, I feel compelled to take immediate legal action against US Weekly.”

Her spokesperson slammed the report as “outrageous,” adding “there simply is no truth to the story.”
Scarlett has just wrapped up work on two movies - the romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You, co-starring Jennifer Aniston, and the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona.  Next up, Scarlett is set to begin work as the leading lady in Mary Queen of Scots.

It’s official folks! Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were seen in public hand in hand for the first time yesterday at LAX. Scarlett avoided mentioning names in the past when asked about who her latest boyfriend was, but there’s no denying it now.

With the number of films she’s done, you’d think Scarlett would have a better handle on the whole disguise thing. But no, she just looks like she borrowed some of Kirsten Dunst’s rags.

Not sure what it is but the Sept cover of Vogue with Scarlett Jo reminds me a lot of Nicole Kidman, am I crazy?
