Miley Cyrus minus a few playful sleepover pictures with her girl friends is considered a very good role model. However a scene in her latest Disney movie has Consumer Reports of all people calling foul. Miley Cyrus , is shown in her Disney 3-D blockbuster, “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour,” in the back of a Range Rover with her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, and neither is wearing a seat belt. The Consumer Reports Safety Blog noted yesterday that in 55 percent of passenger vehicle fatalities in 2006, the occupants were not wearing seat belts.  Perhaps it really wasn’t Miley at all but her body double?  Anyway Disney has Miley’s good name to protect so it’s on them as well for having this gaffe in their movie.  But as Hannah herself sings, “Everybody makes mistakes.” 

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards were just announced!  A big green Ogre edged out the teen pop princess for most nominations.  The film “Shrek The Third” received a leading four nominations.  While young Miley Cyrus was nominated for favorite female singer and female actress and her television show “Hannah Montana” received a favorite TV show nomination. The 15-year-old star won the favorite TV actress award last year.

Jack Black will be returning as this year’s host. The show airs March 29th on Nick.  Here are the nominations:

Miley Cyrus aka “Hannah Montana”, has legally changed her name! The 15-year-old teen superstar’s, birth name was “Destiny Hope Cyrus,” Now  she has officially changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus. Taking her nickname, “Miley,” and adding the middle name of her dad, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus.

An hour into a sold out Hannah Montana concert in New Orleans Saturday night, teen star Miley Cyrus abruptly stopped and left the stage after announcing that she wasn’t feeling well.

After an apprehensive five-minute delay, the sold-out crowd at the New Orleans Arena cheered as Miley returned to stage.  A stagehand placed a stool in the spotlights and the 15-year-old singer took a seat, telling the crowd: “Thanks, you guys. I feel a lot better, but I’m going to sit this one down.”

Prior to falling ill, an energetic Cyrus took the stage in the guise of glitzy, blond-wigged Hannah, and danced and belted out favorites like “Rock Star,” “Just Like You,” “Nobody’s Perfect,” and “Old Blue Jeans,” for an hour. After returning to the stage, the teen made it through a few more songs and then her “best friend and hero,” dad Billy Ray Cyrus, who was in town to perform at Family Gras, joined her for an encore. The father and daughter sang a duet “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” an achingly description of a father’s sadness at seeing his little girl grow up and go away. The New Orleans’ The Times-Picayune reports, that Miley told the crowd that it was a wonderful coincidence that the one time on her tour that she really needed her dad, he was there.

 Most kids are thrilled to get tickets by any means to the always sold-out Hannah Montana concert but one teen took things in a far different direction. A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday night after he boarded a California to Nashville plane because he smuggled aboard handcuffs, duct tape and a rope and also had a copy of the flight plan. Investigators said he planned to hijack the plane and order the pilots to divert the course from Nashville to Lafayette, La. The teenager apparently planned to handcuff or tie up the pilots, as he himself would crash the airliner into the into a Hannah Montana concert at the Cajundome. Inspite of the suspect’s planning he got the date wrong for the concert itself. It takes place Friday night instead of Tuesday.

A tip (likely from his parents) led guards to arrest the teenage runaway from the Los Angeles flight.  He was confronted on the plane and held until it landed.  The teenager was taken to the Davidson County juvenile detention center where he was charged with felony terrorism.

 The premiere of “Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds 3D” Concert was held last night at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. Miley Cyrus owned the red carpet in a shimmering silver mini dress.

The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, jam together to the song “We Got The Party (With Us)”, during a concert in Atlanta, Georgia on the Best of Both Worlds Tour.  About  two minutes and 40 seconds in, Hannah’s dancer in the green top pulls out a black sheet, covers Hannah up, and helps her through a side door underneath the drums.

Then the Hannah Montana ‘double’ comes out wearing the same pink sparkly coat and white boots and big white sunglasses!  Notice how they avoid focusing a camera on the fake Hannah Montana.  Was the real Hannah Montana doing a costume change?  Was the Hannah Montana voice lip synched?  How often is the ‘double’ really on stage.

Saw this article for the Miley Cyrus fans out there and thought I would share. There is probably no explanation for why people are willing to pay more than $2,000 for a ticket to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus tour. Or why is “Hannah Montana” the most popular show ever on the Disney Channel, drawing 5.4 million viewers? But here’s a list of some of the top 15 reasons so many people love Miley Cyrus.  Some of the reasons are sarcastic and not that good.  So feel free to leave your comments for why you love Mily Cyrus and maybe we will post your favorite reasons soon.

5. If it weren’t for Miley, her real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays her father on the show, would still be known for the song “Achy Breaky Heart.”

6. She has a cool name. Her birth certificate says Destiny Hope, but her parents called her Miley, derived from her infant nickname, “Smiley.”

7. She doesn’t have the strongest voice in the world, but she knows how to work it.

8. She has famous relatives. Her mom on the show was played by Brooke Shields. Her aunt is Dolly Parton, and her best friend’s mom is Heather Locklear.

9. She has famous friends. She has dated Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, and her best friends are Emily Osment, her sidekick on the show, and Ashley Tisdale of “High School Musical.”

10. Her “Hannah Montana” tour outsold shows by Justin Timberlake, the Police and Bruce Springsteen.
