Kate Hudson has now co-starred with Matthew McConaughey on two movies, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days back in 2003 and their latest joint outing, next week’s Fool’s Gold. Having now gotten to know Matt real well Kate doesn’t hesitate to tell him what she thinks, even when it comes to hygiene.  Hudson told the shirtless one he needed to scrap his long-standing anti-deodorant policy while on set with her.

“She always brings a salt rock, which is some natural deodorant, and says, ‘Would you please put this on?’” McConaughey was quoted by Contactmusic.com. “I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant.”

MCConaughey insists Hudson is his only co-star who has ever complained about his smell, adding that a good diet and regular showers help him stay fresh. He adds, “I take a few (showers) a day and brush my teeth at least five times a day .”

Matt seemed to have a good sense of humor about the whole thing (he was the one, after all, telling the story), but he was also quick to point out that Kate was the only co-star of his to bring it up. We’re going to believe you from over here, Matt.

Don’t think though that Hudson was hating on McConaughey.  She recently told People.com, “I think he will be an incredible dad.” and gushed about what a great man McConaughey is.

Catching up on some earlier gossip. Are Orlando Bloom and Kate Hudson the next hot celebrity couple or was it a quick party romance?  The Hollywood stars got together at a Halloween party Hudson threw at her home in Pacific Palisades, Calif.  An insider told OK! magazine, “Kate and Orlando were talking, drinking and laughing. Then they just started going at it. They made out for ages and looked like they were really enjoying themselves. They didn’t care who was watching.

“After that first make-out session, they walked around and talked to everyone as a couple. They were inseparable for the rest of the night.”

Another onlooker adds, “At one point, Kate and Orlando were kissing in front of her ex-boyfriend, actor Dax Shepherd. But he didn’t seem to care at all.”

Hudson’s divorce from The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson was finalized just two days before her makeout session with Bloom.

Other guests at the party included hot new Hollywood couple, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.

Jessica Simpson and Owen Wilson spent Sunday evening on what is claimed to be their first date, according to the UK Daily Mail. Observers at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica saw them arrive separately and chat for over an hour before leaving.

Speculation is the two decided to meet up after hanging out at Willie Nelson’s Oct. 16 video shoot at his Austin-area ranch, where they took part in the  Bad Boy Lawnmower race with the likes of Woody Harrelson and Owen’s brother Luke, who co-stars with Simpson in the rumored-to-be-heading-straight-to-DVD “Blonde Ambition.”

The rendezvous comes days after Jessica was reported to be dating “Employee of the Month” co-star Dax Shepard. Meanwhile Owen has recently been spending quality time with ex-girlfriend burlesque dancer Carolina Cerisola,  and rumored to be feeling optimistic about reuniting with ex Kate Hudson.  Finally to complete the love triangle the NY Daily News, Kate Hudson and her boyfriend Dax Shepard officially called it quits recently.
