Alright I confess I have been looking at Star Magazine again for some inspiration.  They come up with some pretty cool stories like that Brad and Angelina wedding that should have happened this past weekend but darned if they didn’t cooperate.  But this story I think is bound to be sort-of, possibly true in some universe.

Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline  had a secret Easter meeting. Shhh! And now family and friends (and you to, can wonder if the pair are likely to rekindle their romance.

“They saw each other on Easter,” a source close to the couple (is there such a person?) tells Star magazine.

And low and behold the rendezvous went so well, that Britney and Kevin have agreed to take a trip far from the glare of Hollywood to work on their relationship.

“Kevin wants to take Britney away to see if there is anything to salvage between them,” a family friend says. “When he suggested it to her, she told him she was ready to go anytime he was.”

Not to burst the bubble because rep’s do often lie, but Federline’s spokesperson  says the story is “not true.”  I like the story though.  Brit starts to get her life together, hires her old manager back and now she rekindles her romance with the father of her children and everyone lives happily ever after.

Kevin Federline has turned 30, and in an interview for the new issue of In Touch Weekly, he comes across as a man sounding more grown up and philosophical too: 

“I believe that any good energy I put out there brings more good energy into my own life,” he says. The relationships with my kids and family will last my whole life and are the most important to me.”

That’s the general tone of the interview, sunshine and blue skies. If you care to go on, here’s a few excerpts from what we assume to be a nicely paying interview:

Federline on his two Ex’s:
“I will always love the mothers of my children, and I will always be there for both of them. I believe that any good energy I put out there brings more good energy into my own life. The relationships with my kids and family will last my whole life and are the most important to me.”

On his kids, Sean Preston, 2, and 18-month-old Jayden:
“I spend most of the day chasing my kids around the house. Their needs define my schedule every day.”

On trying to be closer to Britney for the kids sake:
“It is so very important to me that my children will always know and never question, that no matter what happens, they have a mommy and daddy who love them very much.”

On his life goals:
“I’m going to be the best role model for my kids. And if that example helps other young, single dads who might be going through the same experiences that I am right now, it would be a great compliment.”

Not much mentioned about his career goals except to indicate, acting rather than music is his focus now.

Dressed up in a dapper gray suit and powder blue button-down Kevin Federline celebrated the big 3-0 with a bash at Vegas’ Pure nightclub. There didn’t seem to be any A,B or C listers attending but K-Fed’s other ex Shar Jackson was on hand along with a group of 20 pals, including his family and attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan to help him mourn his twenties.

The Pussycat Dolls sang K-Fed a saucy rendition of “Happy Birthday” as Jackson snuggled close to her ex. “Federline got up at his bash to holla at the assembled crowd at Pure, giving a rambling profanity-laced speech in which he encouraged everyone to have “a good time. ”
He also said, “I lost my voice at the craps tables and I lost all my money.”  Apparently after that last bit, a friend dragged him away from the mic. Nicely done.

Even if he did piss away all his pocket money, the New York Daily News says he got somewhere between $100K and $300K to host his own birthday, so he probably came out okay.

At the time, Britney Spears’ second visit and release from the hospital was a gold mine for the paparazzi and perhaps the end of a bull market in mining the pop wreck.

Between tabloids, her recording career and her life in general, the revenue generated from all things Spears brought in up to $120 million in the past year. But now that she is staying home, the Spears photo business is in a serious recession. Paparazzi outfit X-17 co-owner Brandy Navarre told “Access Hollywood,”

“Since her father has her under his control, we certainly haven’t seen the number of photos that we used to see coming in of Britney.  The subject of the photo is just not as interesting as it once was, so the prices do go down.”

X17 estimates that pics of Brit have gone down from 1,000 a day to a couple hundred, forcing the photo agency to change focus.
Navarre further explained: “It’s a different game now. It’s a different challenge. We’re moving on to other celebrities like Brad (Pitt) and Angelina (Jolie and) Jamie Lynn Spears. We’ve moved on to Britney’s sister.”

With Britney not out roaming around every night creating her own “news,” story tellers have to be more imaginative.  Here’s a couple of recent examples, which could be true stories but would be mundane in the old Britney world.

It was discovered that Britney has been meeting Mel Gibson for consoling on how to deal with her problems and perhaps a play on The ‘Braveheart’ stars part to get the popwreck to join his church. Now the supposed news is that Britney Spears is set to perform a gospel gig at Mel Gibson’s catholic church in California.

Th story goes that Britney, has agreed with Mel on an “appropriate” set of songs and is rehearsing a gospel-style number that she will perform with backing singers at his church next month.

Mel’s church, which holds a daily mass in Latin, follows an ancient ideology of Catholicism. But it is not recognized by the Roman Catholic Church because it does not acknowledge the authority of the Pope or the Vatican.

The parish, which is still unfinished after three years of construction and sits on the actor’s $4m estate in Malibu, has a chapel which seats 100.
I see these stories and I want to end them with “Ripley’s believe it or not”?

The other story line I wanted to mention that keeps “growing” has to with K-Fed and Brit’s conservator and dad Jamie.  It is documented Jamie and Brit’s parents have stayed close through the divorce allowing the grandparents to see their kids even when Britney wouldn’t let him. Right before the big court hearing where both sides agreed to a custody arangement allowing Brit to finally see her kida again, Jamie and K-Fed were photographed golfing together.  It was assumed given the timing that Jamie and the K-Fed were working out the details on how Britney could spend more time with her sons.

Now the National Enquirer has a new spin on that K-Fed and Jamie Spears’ golf outing, speculating that the big issue  discussed was whether Federline would step in for Britney’s dad as the conservator of her estate. That to me is hard to believe but the Enquirer also alleges that Britney’s dad tried to convince Federline to reunite with his daughter and get back with her. The Enquirer focuses on the fact that Britney is going to need mental health treatment for the rest of her life, which would be a potential reason for her dad to want to shall we say, turn/dump the responsibility over to someone else.  I don’t doubt for a second that Britney Spears is likely facing life-long mental health care, but as for the rest of the story line my BS detector is jumping off the charts.  I for one am really glad for the end of the Britney Spears bull market and hope it’s a permanent recession on her old ways.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline is supposedly set to open a restaurant with the troubled singer’s dad Jamie Spears according to the UK Mirror Newspaper.

K-Fed is said to have come up with the idea when he heard his favorite Mexican restaurant might be up for sale. 
According to a source: “K-Fed wants to take over a Mexican place in LA with him and Jamie as managers.

“The restaurant, called Casa Cordobes, has been a favorite of Kevin’s for a while. He ate there with Britney. Now the owner wants to retire he really wants to run it.

“Kevin and Jamie get along well nowadays and Jamie is keen to get back into the restaurant game.”

Jamie Spears’ last foray into running a food establishment, was bankrolled by daughter Britney, and reportedly failed miserably. But Jamie hopes this project will be a runaway success.

“He still works as a private caterer, so he’s excited at the chance,” adds the source.

It’s hard to believe this story is true, because this situation  would be both a conflict of interest (he’s Britney’s conservator) and in poor taste (friendly with former son-in-law good, going into business with him bad) on Jamie’s part.

Kevin Federline is in talks to make his Broadway debut in Legally Blonde, the Tony-nominated musical adaptation of the hit film, in September.
 
K-Fed will be trying out for perhaps three different roles, including the hot UPS guy who becomes the love interest for Elle’s best friend Paulette. Yikes, the UPS guy is an important role in the Legally Blonde story.

“This is his chance to show the world what he can do,” says a pal.
 
As if K-Fed hasn’t had a chances to show the world yet?  So far the world hasn’t been real impressed. For this new opportunity Kevin needs to hit the gym and lose the extra 30 pounds he has picked up lately, and some singing and acting talent wouldn’t hurt either, but otherwise he’s totally ready for Broadway. 

According to insiders K-Fed is making preparations to make this work which might mean, sons Sean, 2, and Jayden, 18 months, might join him in the Big Apple. And supposedly grandma and grandpa are onboard: “Jamie and Lynne [Spears] promised to help him make it work.”

I am betting their hoping if Federline gets the gig maybe he can pay his own legal bills!

A rep for the show says he is not scheduled “as of this time.”

Kevin Federline got out for a round of golf in Los Angeles over the weekend. And speaking of round, K-Fed appears to have packed on some pounds around the waist as he took time out from his fulltime parenting duties for a spot of much needed exercise.  Shar Jackson who has two children with Federline has come out to defend her ex.  Jackson insists his fuller figure is the result of being a full-time Mr. Mom.

“It’s daddy weight! When you are a full time parent, sometimes you can’t focus on you.  If gaining a few pounds is your only problem, life’s not too bad!”

Kevin Federline still has hopes that Britney Spears’ can be a mother to their children.  Spears completely lost her visitation rights to her two young sons at least until a new hearing in February, after failing to show up at her latest custody hearing.
The singer arrived at Los Angeles Superior Court for a crucial custody hearing four hours late and then reportedly refused to enter the courthouse.
While pop-wreck Brit was not legally obliged to attend the hearing the new ruling means she will not see her kids for a minimum of one month and it gave further evidence to her failing mental status, unable to manage her demons long enough to fight for her children.
And Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan says his client is saddened his boys won’t be able to see their mother and hopes the situation will one day be resolved.

He told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, “The word victory is not something that Mister Federline nor his counsel would ascribe to the result of the court ruling today.
“There is no joyous feeling in this, this is a grave situation for everyone. At some point, it is Mister Federline’s hope to parent the minor children with participation from the mother.”

I really hope and think those are sincere sentiments.  Those boys need their mother when and if Brit is able to get her life back together.
