According to inside sources producers for the CW’s 90210 remake, have asked former Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff to star in the new version of Beverly Hills, 90210.

So far Hilary has not decided whether she will take the role, which is rumored to be the character of Annie Mills.

Annie is a Beverly Hills High student who is into theater acting. She yearns to fit in with the alternative crowd and leans a lot on her adopted brother, Dixon. Dylan, er, Dixon is a supersmart bad boy who has lingering social and behavioral issues, and not an ounce of nerdiness in him.

Hilary and Haylie Duff were at a hearing in their parents’ divorce case in Houston today, which is obviously an emotional experience. The girls and their mother walk through the maze of the courthouse while a very annoying reporter keeps trying to interview them and get pictures. The reporter keeps lunging at them,and their bodyguards kept pushing him back. The Duff sisters understandably were a bit frazzled and got very upset.

Teenage pop star Belinda, who starred in the Disney Channel’s “Cheetah Girls 2,” won the video of the year award.   Belinda, whose album “Utopia” garnered two Latin Grammy nominations, performed at the show broadcast on MTV Latin America and MTV TR3S, MTV’s bilingual channel in the United States.

Avril Lavigne Canadian singer Avril Lavigne, 23, tried out her Spanish when receiving the award for ’song of the year’ for “Girlfriend.”"Hola, Gracias, this is awesome!” Lavigne told the crowd. She also won best international pop artist.
