George Clooney and Sarah Larson engaged? (Update)

Posted on March 10th, 2008 by Hot Momma

Confirmed bachelor George Clooney has reportedly asked girlfriend Sarah Larson to marry him. The two started dating last year when Sarah served Georgie drinks at an event in Las Vegas. Since then it has been a whirlwind romance, with Sarah quitting her $200,000 a year job and jet setting with George full-time. The happy couple recently set tongues wagging when Larson became the first woman to walk the red carpet with the Hollywood A-lister at the Oscars last month indicating the relationship was getting serious.

Sources say the two will tie the knot at Georgie’s Lake Como, Italy home this Summer. A source said, “They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged.”

George, 46, has been married once, to actress Talia Balsam, and has since been romantically linked to a string of Hollywood beauties including Renée Zellweger.

Update: Responding to this story started by Britain’s Marie Claire on Monday, “These reports are not true,” Clooney said through his Los Angeles-based rep, Stan Rosenfield.

George Clooney funny story finding out he is Britney Spears Neighbor

Posted on January 26th, 2008 by Hot Momma

George Clooney found out he lives a few houses down from Britney Spears in a very funny way. It was the night she was taken to the hospital after the custody stand-off, and the media feeding frenzy and paparazzi madness that surrounded it. In a video clip for an  Newsweek’s Oscar roundtable,  he recalls the night of the standoff here with police and clutching a baseball bat while in his robe. He now jokes (we think) that he has to move.  Here’s the transcript:

I just found out about 10 days ago that I must live 300 or 400 yards from Britney Spears. And I found out cause I came home at 10 at night and there’s all these helicopters over my house with these lights. I’d gone upstairs, and I came out and I’m in a robe. All of the sudden I see all this shit going on.
I have a guest house where my assistant sometimes is, and I think, someone has broken out of prison and like escaped, because it’s a chase scene. It’s something out of “Die Hard.” I get my baseball bat, which is what you always get in every film–I actually think Clive Owen said, “Get a baseball bat”–and I called up my assistant, who I thought was in the guest house, and I said, “Are you OK?”
And she’s like, “Yes.”
And I said, “Look, if there’s someone in the place, say the word ‘Stonehenge’.”
And she’s like, “What the fuck are you talking about? I’m in my apartment.”
I go, “You’re not in the guesthouse?”
“No.”
So I’m, like, “Well, then, what the fuck is going on?” And I go out and I’m running around with a baseball bat in my robe.
And it turns out it’s Britney Spears’ house is like, 300 yards from mine. So now I have to move.

Sarah Larsen to move in with George Clooney?

Posted on January 23rd, 2008 by Hot Momma

George Clooney and Sarah Larsen may be taking their relationship to the next level. Engagement? No, but reportedly George has asked Sarah to shack up with him. George has been all alone in his Hollywood Hills home since his beloved Vietnamese Pot Bellied pig Max died in 2006.
But sources tell Star Magazine that Clooney is smitten with the 29-year-old former waitress he has dated since last June (07), insisting the self-proclaimed bachelor is ready to co-habit again.
A friend tells the magazine, “Sarah is always with him, so it just made sense. Plus, he likes having her around. She has made him very happy because she has a great sense of humour and doesn’t stress him out. She’s easygoing and loving, and I think he really needs that right now. “George has been feeling lonely. Sarah has filled the void.”

Notice how these friends always give such great quotes?

George Clooney appears at 4th Annual Dubai International Film Festival

Posted on December 10th, 2007 by Hot Momma

Stars from all over the world descended on multicultural Dubai on Sunday for the start of a film festival that sees itself as a bridge between East and West. George Clooney, was on the red carpet to support the opening film “Michael Clayton”, about a conflicted lawyer working for a chemical firm, said film was a great way to boost understanding among cultures.”We have to get to the point where we understand each other a bit more… art is a great way of doing that,” Clooney said.

“I said I would come back when we were working on Syriana and they were kind enough to let us shoot that film here.”

Parts of Syriana, a political thriller about a fictional oil-rich Arab state, were filmed in the United Arab Emirates. Dealing with terrorism, poor labourers, oil and Western policy, it drew both praise and criticism in the West and the Arab world.

My jaw dropped when I saw the caption for the picture here, which read “Actor George Clooney (R) with fiancee Sarah Larson pose backstage before attending a press…”  However Clooney’s rep, assured there is no engagement. It was just a mistake on the agency’s part.  Darn!

George Clooney as GI Joe?

Posted on November 7th, 2007 by Hot Momma

“The fighting man from head to toe.” Ok, I stress this is just a rumor and I am somewhat cynical about it. But I could definitely picture George Clooney as GI Joe (except for the age thing).

According to IESB.net, Clooney has abandoned his role in director Joe Carnahan’s film White Jazz in favor of appearing as the action hero.

A source tells the website, “Rumor is that one of the reasons he (Clooney) walked away from White Jazz was not only due to scheduling conflicts but also because he is looking for a blockbuster to star in.

We were previously told that Mark Wahlberg was the one producer di Bonaventura had his eye on but it looks like that may have not panned out.

There is no evidence Clooney has accepted the role but according to the rumor it has been offered to him.
