Confirmed bachelor George Clooney has reportedly asked girlfriend Sarah Larson to marry him. The two started dating last year when Sarah served Georgie drinks at an event in Las Vegas. Since then it has been a whirlwind romance, with Sarah quitting her $200,000 a year job and jet setting with George full-time. The happy couple recently set tongues wagging when Larson became the first woman to walk the red carpet with the Hollywood A-lister at the Oscars last month indicating the relationship was getting serious.
Sources say the two will tie the knot at Georgie’s Lake Como, Italy home this Summer. A source said, “They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged.”
George, 46, has been married once, to actress Talia Balsam, and has since been romantically linked to a string of Hollywood beauties including Renée Zellweger.
Update: Responding to this story started by Britain’s Marie Claire on Monday, “These reports are not true,” Clooney said through his Los Angeles-based rep, Stan Rosenfield.

George Clooney found out he lives a few houses down from Britney Spears in a very funny way. It was the night she was taken to the hospital after the custody stand-off, and the media feeding frenzy and paparazzi madness that surrounded it. In a video clip for an Newsweek’s Oscar roundtable, he recalls the night of the standoff
George Clooney and Sarah Larsen may be taking their relationship to the next level. Engagement? No, but reportedly George has asked Sarah to shack up with him. George has been all alone in his Hollywood Hills home since his beloved Vietnamese Pot Bellied pig Max died in 2006.
Stars from all over the world descended on multicultural Dubai on Sunday for the start of a film festival that sees itself as a bridge between East and West. George Clooney, was on the red carpet to support the opening film “Michael Clayton”, about a conflicted lawyer working for a chemical firm, said film was a great way to boost understanding among cultures.”We have to get to the point where we understand each other a bit more… art is a great way of doing that,” Clooney said.
I stress this is just a rumor and I am somewhat cynical about it. But I could definitely picture George Clooney as GI Joe (except for the age thing).
