Britney Spears is on the cover of Star Magazine because it sells and because ‘her dieting and exercise is paying off’. Somehow Brit went to the beach in a bikini and no one saw it but Star, but whatever,  Photoshop is a wonderful thing. Star says…

Britney Spears has been dieting and working out — and it shows! In the new issue of Star, we have world exclusive photos of Britney rocking her hot new bikini body at a Malibu beach. And while she’s not there yet, she has dropped 20 pounds, the cellulite is gone and her dancer’s legs are back!

Um … dancers legs? Ah Nevermind! Brit on magazine covers sells, so the tabloids are going to exploit every little change in her life. She’s been supposedly working out hard with trainers at Bally Total Fitness and dieting, in an arrangement that may lead to to her representing the fitness chain. No doubt she has firmed up, but is it just me or does her “new bikini body” look just like her “old bikini body“?

People Magazine reports that Britney Spears is returning to “How I Met Your Mother.” Take that Neil Patrick Harris!  Neil Patrick Harris recently denied that he ever said he didn’t want Britney Spears back on “How I Met Your Mother.”  Well then I guess he’s happy then and apparently so is Britney. A source said, “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.” On an episode that aired March 24th, Brit played a receptionist who falls in love for Josh Radnor’s character. Brit’s guest spot on the show brought the show it’s best ratings ever. So of course Fox Studios wants her back for more.

Inspite of OK! Magazine borrowing a 2003 Photo for Britney’s weight loss cover, she has in fact lost a good deal of weight. In fact one rarely sees her with Cheetos or a Frappuccino in hand anymore! So in the spirit of no good deed of Britney’s ever goes without massive reward,TMZ is reporting that Spears is in negotiations to be the spokeswoman for Ballys Fitness Clubs.
Brit’s parents and particularly Daddy Jamie who has the power as co-conservator have been talking to Bally about making a deal. It all happened because Larry Rudolph, who is coming back to manage his protégé, has a close friendship with John Wildman, the Chief Marketing Officer of Bally.

During the negotiations, Brit has been going to the club at least once a day and up to as many as three times a day. I guess she has a little spare time these days? She’s training with two of the company’s top personal trainers and working with the company’s nutritionist, who has put Britney on five to six quality meals a day (sans Frapps and Cheetos).

TMZ is quick to point out there there’s no deal yet; both sides are still negotiating. Brit does get to work out in the meantime for free, and with the personal trainers and nutritionist, which saves her a few bucks. She will need the money for other things because the commissioner in the Spears conservatorship case has just ordered that a sh*tload of fees be paid to various lawyers in the case, and Brit, of course, will foot the bill.

Things are definitely looking up for Britney Spears these days. Britney has rehired her old manager Larry Rudolph and was seen at the recording studio and the gym yesterday. It might be a little soon for Britney to jump back into her career, but one step at a time. Rudolph has denied they are working on a new project together.
He tells Usmagazine, “We went into the studio, but it was just for fun - nothing more.”
A source confirms to the publication, “She just wanted to go in and tinker (play) around. She sat at a piano and got some ideas. She played the piano and sang a bit. She enjoyed herself.”

Meanwhile the restraining order against Sam Lutfi, who somehow wormed his way into Brit’s life when she was most vulnerable and with svengali-like powers took control of her confused career, has been extended. Lutfi is forbidden from coming within 250 yards of Spears, her homes and her family homes under an order originally served in February. It was extended last month and again yesterday. He must now stay away from her until July 31 following a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court. This struck me funny. Lutfi’s spokesman Michael Sands insisted that his client is still in touch with Spears’s family:

“Sam and the family are communicating and co-operating trying to do what’s best for Britney.” Yeah right!
People Magazine notes that it’s possible that the restraining order can be extended for years.

Also Britney’s father’s conservatorship lasts until July 31, and it is likely to be extended beyond that.

I am finding this story hard to believe, but just in case it’s true…  Britney Spears has reportedly kept a video diary of all her trouble over the past six months.  Sources say she rants about everything and everyone, and now Britney for some unknown reason has threatened to release the videos online or through MTV.

A source said, “Britney’s video diaries are the talk of the Tinseltown elite. Her high-profile friends and exes - including Justin - knew what she was up to but assumed she was filming herself as a form of therapy. If she does decide to go public with the footage, it’ll be explosive. Although some of it is really sad to watch - especially the parts where she’s close to breakdown - others are dynamite. Not surprisingly both JT and Kevin Federline are terrified the material will end up all over the net. Or, even worse, Britney will agree to another MTV documentary, and release some of the footage through official channels.”

It wasn’t too long ago that there was a supposed tiff with Paris Hilton and Britney allegedly threatened to release a lesbian video of the socialite. But that video would pale in comparison to the embarrassment of listening to Britney rant about her mom, dad, sister Jamie Lynn, K-Fed, Justin Timberlake, and her rivalry with Christina Aguilera. All are said to be subjects of Britney’s videos but perhaps more horrifying would be the insights into her state of mind during these past six months. I think she’s embarrassed herself enough for one lifetime but I guess we will see what happens.

We have a whodunit mystery going, maybe. Some crazy knife-wielding maniac supposedly attacked former pap and Britney’s ex-boy toy Adnan Ghalib.  JFXOnline reports that Adnan was stabbed in the arm and also has a black eye and lacerations on his face. He received medical attention and is doing alright. He’s apparently been receiving death threats the past few weeks. It’s unknown who tried to attack him or if anyone really did.  I remain skeptical until there is a police report or photographic proof, corroborating the story. I will say though that karma is relentless and Adnan surely made some enemies when he switched sides from photo celeb chaser to briefly being in the spotlight and perhaps forgetting where he came from. I’m sure Adnan will tell us about the whole horrifying experience, if he’s able to sell the story to one of the entertainment shows this week.

Britney Spears hasn’t been doing too much of her own driving since a court commissioner placed dad Jamie Spears in charge of her general welfare. But Saturday night she got behind the wheel and promptly caused a minor chain-reaction collision Saturday on Los Angeles’ 101 Freeway.

The early evening accident occurred in Brit’s Mercedes-Benz in stop-and-go traffic a few miles beyond the 101-405 interchange when she bumped into the car in front of her. CHP Officer Patrick Kimball said:
“She failed to notice that the vehicle in front of her had come to a complete stop. She attempted to break but failed to stop her vehicle prior to colliding with a 2006 Nissan. As a result, the car Spears hit was pushed into another vehicle, the driver of which, did not observe any damages.”

Sounds more like her spokeperson then a cop with that “failed to notice” tip toeing.

Kimball continued:

No drivers were cited and “nobody was injured.”

I don’t understand how you fail to brake in time causing a chain-reaction collision, and you don’t get a ticket?

Spears was given a field sobriety test by the California Highway Patrol and passed, and apparently that’s standard procedure with a car accident at that time of night. She was not behaving as if she was drunk and officers did not suspect that she was.

The guy in the car Britney hit was 21, and he told TMZ that he was checking out Britney in his rearview mirror before she hit him and noticed that she was applying makeup.  Oops! It wasn’t until after the minor crash that he realized who she was.

Following the accident, Britney sporting blond hair after getting a new weave, had dinner at Italian hotspot Dominick’s in West Hollywood with mom Lynne Spears and Lynne’s friend Jackie.

Alright I confess I have been looking at Star Magazine again for some inspiration.  They come up with some pretty cool stories like that Brad and Angelina wedding that should have happened this past weekend but darned if they didn’t cooperate.  But this story I think is bound to be sort-of, possibly true in some universe.

Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline  had a secret Easter meeting. Shhh! And now family and friends (and you to, can wonder if the pair are likely to rekindle their romance.

“They saw each other on Easter,” a source close to the couple (is there such a person?) tells Star magazine.

And low and behold the rendezvous went so well, that Britney and Kevin have agreed to take a trip far from the glare of Hollywood to work on their relationship.

“Kevin wants to take Britney away to see if there is anything to salvage between them,” a family friend says. “When he suggested it to her, she told him she was ready to go anytime he was.”

Not to burst the bubble because rep’s do often lie, but Federline’s spokesperson  says the story is “not true.”  I like the story though.  Brit starts to get her life together, hires her old manager back and now she rekindles her romance with the father of her children and everyone lives happily ever after.
