Orlando Bloom has popped the big question to Miranda Kerr and she has accepted according to The Sunday Telegraph. Bloom and Kerr, who live together in New York, celebrated their engagement with a romantic getaway in Venice last week. The wedding is supposedly being planned around their work commitments and will take place in the middle of next year when both have a break. This news comes only weeks after the Australian super-model denied another rumor of wedding plans.
The couple share many interests including yoga and clean-living ways. Kerr a Victoria’s Secret lingerie model, known for her wholesome lifestyle, will next year bring out a self-help book, Treasure Yourself, aimed at young girls. Kerr recently talked about her plan to one day leave the fashion world and have babies saying:
“I’ve always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen. My ideal situation would be to live on a farm in a solar-powered house with a hammock and a vegetable patch. When this is all over, that’s where I’ll be.”
Sounds nice!
Update: Perhaps the “Sunday Telegraph” has been telling lies because a representative for Miranda has refuted the claims, insisting the couple are not engaged!

It’s being reported that Patrick Swayze, who was told he had pancreatic cancer this past January, is now gravely ill again. Swayze has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California’s Stamford University Medical Centre, and had been fighting a valiant battle against the disease. But now Swayze has reportedly taken a turn for the worse and started saying goodbye to loved ones after learning his cancer has spread.
It was the National Enquirer who originally reported that Patrick Swayze had pancreatic cancer but at the time said he perhaps only had five weeks to live because it had spread to other organs. Now a source tells the Enquirer in a new story:
“Patrick recently got word that the cancer had spread to his liver and that is what his doctors said would begin the countdown to the end. Patrick knew it was coming because he was suffering increased weakness. At times, he was so weak that he could barely walk without feeling faint. Sometimes he feels out of breath and has to sit down.”
Supposedly Swayze, 56, who just finished filming TV show The Beast, told Lisa, his wife of 33 years, and his brother Donny that he doesn’t have long to live. It’s hard to discount this report given the National Enquirer broke the original story and were mostly right. But they do have a tendency to exaggerate so we can only hope for the best that this report is off somehow.
The Pop trio Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan, and Kiely Williams aka The Cheetah Girls are reportedly going to call it quits this Christmas. The group was created by Disney bosses for a film and TV series. Originally a quartet, actress Raven-Symone left the band in 2005 due to other commitments and they’ve been a trio ever since. According to singer Kiely Williams the members of the Disney group will go their separate ways in the New Year after completing their current “One World” tour on December 22.
The news comes just weeks after nude photos of bandmate Adrienne Bailon hit the Internet. The photo fiasco that some thought was a publicity stunt, caused some immediate negative fallout as the girls were dropped from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade line up. Macy’s public stance was that it was a “scheduling issue,” but sources claim the parade sponsors wanted to distance themselves.
But Williams tells In Touch magazine, the scandal is not the reason the girls are breaking up.
”We always knew this tour would probably be our last. We were excited about going out on a high note, it’s sad that this negative attention put a damper on that.”
And she insists the trio will always be close: “I’ll always be a Cheetah Girl. It’s been a life-changing experience.”
