Elvis. Wayne Newton. Michael Jackson? Sources say the self-proclaimed King of Pop is living in Las Vegas now, recording a new album and mulling over offers to have his own nightly show. He’s still not appearing on “American Idol,” but he may circle the drain where stardom goes to slowly fade away.

Myself, I think it’s too soon! He should stay out of the headlines for ten years, and then come back and do it. The people who remember him most fondly (coming of age in the ’70s and ’80s) will be older and have more money to blow on it come, oh, 2017. As long as he doesn’t get any more plastic surgery…

And no, it will never be THIS Jackson. Sigh.
