Jessica Simpson is not exactly on a roll

Jessica Simpson’s new movie and vehicle to stardom, Blonde Ambition, was released on 8 screens this weekend in Jessica’s home state of Texas, before it gets punted to DVD next month.
Blonde Ambition averaged $48 per screen on Friday for a total box office of $384. Based on an $8 ticket price, that means that 6 people paid to see the movie at each of those theatres, and only 48 people went to see the movie! We don’t know how many relatives and friends were part of that 48 attendees.
Meanwhile Jessica was in the stands in Charlotte last night, but apparently kept out of sight so she wouldn’t distract her boyfriend, Cowboys QB Tony Romo. Jessica’s highly visible presense last week coincided with Tony having a very bad game, prompting Romo’s outspoken teammate Terrell Owens to joke that Jess was persona non grata at the team’s games.
Tony however had a much better game this week than last, inspite of the fans that put on blonde masks (see photo) to try to distract him. Terrell Owens on the otherhand scored a touchdown but then got hurt putting the Cowboy’s hopes of getting to the Superbowl in jeapordy. Don’t mess with Jessica, Terrell!
