Dwayne Johnson swings into action as “The Tooth Fairy”

Former wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson, will star as the title character in “The Tooth Fairy,” a 20th Century Fox comedy that’s slated to roll out in August 2008.
Johnson will play a regular guy who’s brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom.
Michael Lembeck, who helmed the second and third installments of “The Santa Clause,” will direct.
Best know as an action hero, Johnson has turned to family comedy roles, scoring a hit with his family film ‘The Game Plan and is currently starring in Disney’s “Witch Mountain.” He will be seen starring this summer opposite Steve Carell in the Warner Bros. comedy “Get Smart.”
