Beyonce and Mariah Carey have revealed the songs they plan to sing for the presidential inauguration Tuesday.

Beyonce who will sing at the official Neighborhood Ball Tuesday night, says she’ll sing the Etta James classic “At Last,” to serenade the Obamas with in their first dance as first couple.

The singer-actress portrayed the blues great in the recent film “Cadillac Records” and sings the song in that movie.

Beyonce said singing for the Obamas’ first dance is a dream come true.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey thinks President-elect Barack Obama is a hero — and she’s going to tell him so in song, the singer told Access Hollywood on Friday, at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Carey, will perform “Hero” at the Neighborhood Inaugural Ball after Obama is sworn in on Tuesday.

Not the first rumor about Mariah Carey being pregnant but this one seems a bit more substantial. Nosy spies in LA saw the songbird coming out of a well-known ob/gyn’s office on North Crescent Boulevard, “clutching what looked like a sonogram and being greeted by her entourage with cheers. She was joyful.”

It was the same type of paper that Minnie Driver was holding when she found out she was pregnant at the same doctor’s office.

Mimi Carey, who wed Nick Cannon this year in a quickie Bahamas ceremony,has spoken of her baby plans but refuses to be drawn into speculation that she is already pregnant. Recently asked though about whether she was pregnant: She gave a very cryptic ‘We’ll see’ answer.  It’s sounding now like she just might be!

Mariah Carey was left squirming in her chair during her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres talkshow - after the comedienne quizzed her over pregnancy rumors. The singing superstar who swapped vows with now 28-year-old Nick Cannon in April, was a guest on the program on Tuesday  to promote her new single, ‘I Stay In Love’. The Emmy-winning talk-show host had to ask about guest Mariah Carey’s rumored expectant status. But while she pretended to let the pop diva off the hook Tuesday after receiving an elusive, “No, that’s OK [to ask],”  DeGeneres then slyly offered up a glass of champagne to ring in the non-news.  after which Mimi became all flustered, first going the feigned shock route and then trying to insist that 3 p.m. was too early for her to start drinking.

“You don’t have to answer that. Let’s just toast with champagne,”

“I can’t believe you did this to me, Ellen,” laughed the Grammy winner. “This is peer pressure!”

“No, let’s toast to you not being pregnant,” Ellen insisted.

“I can’t believe her,” Mariah said. “Why would we toast to that? How about to the future? For both of our futures, who knows what they hold.”

She then only pretended to sip the bubbly.

So on second thought…”You’re pregnant,” Ellen said.

But still Mariah resisted: “I didn’t say that. No, no, no. My mother would be at home like, on the computer like, What are you talking about? We will let you know when we’re going to have a family.”

Mimi recently insisted she would keep any baby news secret so was she just living up to her word?

Above Mariah Carey “The X-Factor” Video (”I Stay In Love”)

Mariah Carey and her impressive eight-octave vocal range terrified the contestants when they met up just hours before the show. Simon Cowell was furious with the singing diva, who threw X-Factor rehearsals into chaos - by keeping contestants waiting THREE HOURS for a surprise mentoring session. Once she did show up Mariah gave the awed hopefuls a masterclass late on Friday as they prepared to sing one of her hits “Hero” with her.

Mariah Carey also revealed to the UK’s Daily Mirror that she kept her now husband Nick Cannon, waiting a lot longer then 3 hours for her attentions! Supposedly Mariah said in the two months that she and Nick dated before their April wedding, there was no ‘intercourse’ at all!

Mimi said that waiting was so worth it:

“It’s not that we had NO intimacy, we just didn’t have complete intimacy. It’s just me, and my feelings. I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else. But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”

Iron Man 3D with Mandarin?

In a very recent interview with Collider, director Jon Favreau mentioned that he is strongly considering shooting Iron Man 2 in IMAX 3D.Jon’s inspiration was the IMAX “Dark Knight” footage, which he called a game changer. Regarding the 3D, he said it’s all about the cost, but if they can make it happen he’d like to do it. He talked about getting to see the armor in 3D and how cool it would be. While he was a bit cagey about specifics with “Iron Man 2,” he did mention Iron Man’s arch villain ‘Mandarin’ a lot and he said we can expect a lot more surprises in the sequel in terms of other comic book characters (maybe the Avengers). I would be shocked if Mandarin wasn’t the featured villain for Iron Man 2, but that’s just me.

Edge of Darkness recast

British actor Ray Winstone is reportedly set to take over from Robert De Niro in crime drama Edge of Darkness. De Niro allegedly quit the film over creative differences after just two days shooting - and Winstone is now said to be in negotiations to step in.
Edge of Darkness features Mel Gibson as a cop investigating the fatal shooting of his daughter. It is due for release next year. Winstone would step in to the role of a man who destroys evidence after a woman’s murder, according to Daily Variety.

Mariah Carey the best part of Tennessee?

Mariah Carey’s new film, a road trip drama called Tennessee, will be released in December. Carey plays a waitress whose dreams of a singing career have been dashed by a bad marriage. Adam Rothenberg and Ethan Peck also star in the film. Seven years after her disastrous first movie, Glitter, was widely panned by critics, the singer’s latest film had its premiere at this spring’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The BBC’s Mark Savage, who watched the film at the Cannes Film Festival where it was previewed, said: “Amazingly, Mariah is the best thing in it.” He added: “Carey is so good, in fact, that the film feels rather flat when she’s off-screen.”

Yep, Mariah Carey has decided to manage herself. Mimi recently dumped Benny Medina as her manager but apparently he will still collaborate with her. Initial reports from the New York Daily News said yesterday that Carey,had dumped Medina, possibly because he had been “courting” his former client (and reported Mimi rival) Jennifer Lopez. Mimi issued the following statement to E! News to clarify the situation:

“Benny Medina and I will continue to work together on projects both present and in the future. I’m looking forward to working with Benny on what we have been developing, and to his continued involvement in my creative life.”

With Benny no longer stifling Mimi’s grand ideas, look for an album dedicated to Unicorns, rainbows and Hello Kitty, soon?

Actually the revised deal is reportedly driven by what Mimi feels is the best way to streamline her own company, Maroon Entertainment.

It’s been a tough stretch for Medina, who recently parted ways with Usher.
