In news from the ‘It’ll never last’ department, it seems Kid Rock and American Idol alumnus, Kellie Pickler have been secretly dating.

Kid, 38, made an unscheduled appearance at the CMT Video Awards in Nashville with his ex, Sheryl Crow and Kellie, by his side (photo right). But sources report the real reason he showed up was to be near his new squeeze - Ms. Kellie.

According to folks in the know, the affair between Kid Rock and the 23-year old star of Idol, season five has been “the worst-kept secret in Nashville.” Kid is even believed to be the one Kellie was gushing about in a recent radio chat, “I’m seeing someone,” she enthused. “I got a man. He’s a great, great guy. We’ve been seeing each other for over a year.”

Previously married to Baywatch’s Pamela Anderson, Kid [aka, Robert Richie,] has been romantically linked with a sizable catalog of beautiful girls. But his star has been fading, and Kellie’s is in stasis. What they do from her on could kill or cure their careers. Let’s hope they both make the right moves.

Excerpt: Kid Rock Thinks Pam Anderson Lied About Her Miscarriage
Kid said he traveled to Canada to visit her on the set of a movie when they got into an argument she dropped that bombshell on him.
Rock, claiming he was unaware that Anderson was pregnant, says he chartered a plane and flew to Vancouver. ”When I get there, she’s partying at this restaurant, drinking champagne, jumping on the tables. I’m thinking, ‘That’s a quick recovery from a miscarriage.”’

Excerpt: So why did Kid Rock end up smacking Tommy Lee?
It’s kind of Pamela Anderson-related. “It’s been going on for five years,” Rock said. “Last contact I had with him was when me and Pam were going through our divorce. He picked up her BlackBerry and started e-mailing me a lot of horrendous things. It was extremely disrespectful. I had to do what I had to do because this was a long time coming. You know, I came back from the bathroom and he was sitting right there. It was even more disrespectful after everything he’s said, I was like that’s enough, that’s it.”
It was his right hand — open-faced yet close-knuckled — that connected with Lee’s left cheekbone. “It was a full swing,” he says. “I don’t got big guns, but I know how to throw a punch.”

Britney Spears will host at Pure at Caesars Palace, while Nicole Richie is in talks to host at Tangerine at Treasure Island.

Thank goodness I’m going to Vegas next weekend. I can already smell the chaos.

TMZ has reported that Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock were in a race to get their divorce papers filed first today. Kid Rock filed his divorce papers 53 minutes before Pam’s docs were stamped by the clerk. Talk about a short-lived marriage.

UsWeekly is reporting that Pamela Anderson and hubby, Kid Rock, suffered a miscarriage late last week. The newlywed blonde was in Vancouver shooting a new movie when she miscarried. Pam did not go to the hospital and instead opted to have a physician diagnose the situation in private. The stress of a heavy shooting schedule may have caused the early pregnancy loss.

Sources close to Pam say that she is anxious to have another child and will definitely try again.
