I would never advocate a beat-down on anyone, but there are those that build bad karma that eventually leads to well deserved retribution.  Infamous celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton has made more then his share of enemies over the years with his acerbic tongue and poison pen, ridiculing celebrities.  Last night he twittered that he was beaten up by rapper Wil.I.Am (of the red-hot group The Black Eyed Peas) and his security guards.

When I first saw this, I dismissing this as more grandstanding for publicity not unlike the supposed John Mayer kiss, but there does appear to be more to the story.

Wil.I.Am has created a video where he explains his side of the story. The rapper said that it started last night at an event after the MuchMusic Awards in Canada where Fergie of “The Peas” came up to Perez and asked why he didn’t like their music. Hilton explained it was just the record, but according to Wil.I.Am was “up in her face” and rude to her.

Later, Wil.I.Am encountered Hilton at another club and requested that he not treat the group in such a rude way as he did on his website. But rather than apologize, Hilton said “I don’t respect you” to Wil.I.Am, who said “OK. That’s cool.” But then Hilton, called Wil.I.Am the “F-Word” but even then the lead lyricist for the Black Eyed Peas held his cool and backed off; but an unknown fan didn’t and according to Wil.I.Am “got all up into him”. So it was the fan that assaulted Hilton, not Wil.I.Am; if Wil.I.Am’s story is to be believed.

Pimping out her children has seemingly been a profitable enterprise for Nadya Suleman and it looks like she plans to keep it that way. But California officials are scrutinizing her first partner in crime RadarOnline, for child-labor violations involving Octomom’s octuplets.

Radar, owned by supermarket tabloid giant America Media Inc., which also operates the National Enquirer, has or had depending on who you believe an exclusive rights to document her 14 children, including the octuplets born in January.

State Labor Commissioner Angela Bradstreet alleges the entertainment site failed to take out the requisite permits before videotaping Octotots Noah and Isaiah as they made their March 17th homecoming as the first of “octomom” Nadya Suleman’s babies.

Per state guidelines, infants are only allowed to”work” between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., and can only be on camera for no more than 20 minutes at a time.

State officials fined Radar $500 for lack of a permit to employ minors, $1,000 for failing to have entertainment permits on file, $1,000 for filming the babies beyond the hours allowed and $500 for not having a chaperone versed in child labor laws.

Officials said RadarOnline could not hide behind the First Amendment because it paid Suleman to film her kids.

Perhaps sensing with celebrity gossip Web site’s usefulness is waning and ready to move on to bigger and better opportunities Suleman, says the exclusive contract with RadarOnline will be ending this week.

Suleman told the Whittier Daily News once the contract ends, she will begin working on her Reality TV project, making a documentary with Netherlands-based film company Eyeworks.

However as you might guess, RadarOnline representative refuted the claim.

“I don’t know what she’s talking about,” said Chris Myers, senior executive editor for RadarOnline. “She gets confused a lot.”

Since her iconic encounter with family fame, the media has been keen to report that the Octomom once worked as a dancer. Well, Ms. Suleman has now had enough of such claims, and she and her lawyers are preparing to sue.

A supermarket tabloid has just run a story in which Gunner Reid, a San Diego strip club owner, claims Nadya, 33, once danced at his venue. The story, published in the recent issue of ‘In Touch,’ includes paperwork allegedly showing Nadya’s signature, in a rather ill-advised [and potentially expensive] attempt to add weight to the tale.

When shown the results, Nadya was rightfully peeved, “There is not one ounce of truth to this!” she told US Magazine, quite clearly upset. “I never, ever, ever EVER worked – even for one day – in a strip club!”

Mr. Reid had told ‘In Touch’s reporters that Nadya worked at his club under the stage name of, “Angelina” from 1999 to 2000; A dancer, named ‘Sage’ is also quoted as saying the multiple-mommy was “overly flirty with guys for whom we performed.” But no photos or other firm evidence have so far been furnished by Mr. Reid or his friend.

Ms. Suleman is not amused, and her lawyers are already in motion to block Gunner’s path. She also claims to be tired of being compared to Angelina Jolie.  “No offense,” she says. “But I would not want to look like this person.”

Such is her feeling, but it’s hard to know why?

We mentioned about 6-weeks ago here, that there was a not so secret affair going on on, on the set of Ghost Whisperer. Jennifer “Love them and dump them hard” Hewitt was seen getting cozy with co-star Jamie Kennedy, after she broke things off with her fiance, “actor” Ross McCall, a couple of weeks before. The split-up came after she had already set the wedding date and even purchased her wedding dress. At the time we wondered whether Kennedy was a quick rebound after McCall or the reason she broke things off, and that’s still a mystery.  However Kennedy  has now gone public that he’s dating his Ghost Whisperer costar Hewitt on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Friday, and now a big story for the big celebrity gossip mags.

“I’m in love and I don’t care,” the actor told Seacrest. Kennedy said the couple are not engaged but share a bond he described as “more than love.”

Hope it all works out for both of them, but we fear Kennedy might be the fickle Love Hewitt’s next victim.

These are still unconfirmed reports, but the celebrity gossip rumor mill has it that John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston have split-up again.  A source who is believed to be close to the couple tells Marc Malkin at E!Online that the break up took place when Jennifer Aniston returned from the European leg of promoting her new flick Marley & Me where her co-star is Owen Wilson.

According to the source it is John Mayer who has broken up with the former ‘Friends’ star this time. There has been hectic movements by reporters trying to get a word on this development from either of the two’s reps but Jennifer’s reps did not want to make any comments while John Mayer’s representatives said they do not comment on the rock star’s private life.

In a recent interview given to U.K. magazine You Aniston spoke her mind regarding love and romance saying, “Who ever said that every relationship has to last forever? That’s hoping too much,” said Aniston, who turned 40 exactly a month ago. “I think every relationship is a world unto itself.”

Perhaps prophetic words? When if she had found her perfect partner, she said, “I don’t have one and I don’t think it exists.”

If it is over (again) I think Mayer accompanying  Jen on the red carpet at the Oscars meant the world to her, under the circumstances.  And if this rumor is true look for Star Magazine to be publishing Jen and John’s secret plans to wed right about now.  They always seem to have bad timing with these two.

The web and blog world is buzzing again over a graphic photo surfaced on the Internet, reportedly of Rihanna with injuries from the alleged assault that occurred on February 8, 2009, by Chris Brown. Reportedly TMZ got there hands on the photo first, which they often do, and many other sites posted there after. The picture is a close-up of a young woman with her eyes closed and bruises and cuts on her forehead, lips and cheeks. Rihanna, who has not appeared in public since the alleged attack hours before the Grammy Awards, turns 21 on Friday. Not a very happy birthday present.

Los Angeles police has launched an internal investigation of the photograph, as it has the appearance of one taken during an official domestic violence investigation. If it was leaked from inside, it’s a serious breech of confidentiality of victims of domestic violence, and someone will be punished. Victims of domestic abuse and rape, who have long been accorded special rights in the criminal justice system. We often use TMZ as a resource for our stories and it’s understood that it’s there intention and livelihood to dig for dirt. But this is one of many times law enforcement has leaked what should have been confidential information to TMZ. Because this is a high profile case action might be taken, but what of the many other times? Publishing the photos, which many sites immediately did is another matter. To me running the picture humiliates Rihanna at a time when she’s already in emotional agony. Sensational pictures like the Rihanna shot bring publishers large amounts of traffic, but at the price of exploitation. Perhaps a benefit of the photo coming out is that shows the seriousness of an attack that many people have sought to minimize. By the way it’s not lost on me that ‘celebrity gossip’ itself is many times exploitative and in essence this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.  I accept that criticism but there are boundaries right?
