Jersey Shore Clothing, Abercrombie & Fitch Bribes Cast To Not Wear Clothes
No stranger to controversy, pricey clothing line Abercrombie & Fitch publicly asked Jersey Shore cast members to stop wearing its clothes. Not only did they ask, but they’ve now bribed them with a “significant” dollar figure to make the un-endorsement decision.
This is new territory for the money hungry characters. The cast, which is used to making money for wearing Jersey Shore clothing and peddling diet pills and drinks, has on record never been paid to not wear a brand. But there’s a first for everything.
It is indeed concerning that the characters Abrecrombie & Fitch believes are desecrating their clothing line are characters that teens look up to today. Anyhow, the Jersey Shore clothing and whether or not the cast members will accept Abrecrombie’s offer is up for grabs.
The company released a statement earlier confirming the deal and their situation with Michael Sorrentino, aka The Situation. “We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans,” an Abercrombie & Fitch spokesperson said in a statement. “We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response.”
The reality show is currently in its fourth season after finishing up a stint in Florence, Italy.
Will Pauly D, The Situation and Snooki take the bait and stop wearing Abrecrombie & Fitch as Jersey Shore Clothing?
