Demi Lovato Quotes: “I don’t know Spanish!”

Demi Lovato might have Latina roots but the singer and actress cannot speak a word of Spanish.  In the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show, the 19 year-old Lovato was asked if she was fluent in Spanish.  Although she recorded songs in Spanish, she doesn’t really understand what she’s saying.

Lovato admitted that she memorizes her songs in Spanish.  Sometimes, she feels overwhelmed by the words and just chose to sing the entire song, Lo Que Soy (This Is Me) in English as well as Spanish.  She would refer to a teleprompter while performing live in front of audiences.

Demi Lovato quotes and recalls her experiences singing onstage while trying to read from a teleprompter while praying she will not trip on her dress and fall.  Lovato took home the award, Favorite TV Actress, for her acting role in Sonny with a Chance.  The award was given by the American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) earlier this month.  When she heard the good news, she tweeted that she couldn’t believe that she won and she was very grateful for it.

Lovato left her rehab life behind to get back on her feet and focus on her career.  “Skyscraper” is the first song she performed after she was released from the facility.  Her fans and followers eagerly await the release of her album, Unbroken, a few days ago.  The teenage singing sensation is idolized by many young fans.  She may not know Spanish but her fans don’t seem to mind at all.
