Latest Madonna Secret: Critics Make Her Nervous!
The 53-year old music icon, Madonna, admits to feeling nervous about what film critics will say about her upcoming film, W.E. The new movie is the Material Girl’s second attempt in directing.
At a press conference at TIFF, Madonna says she feels the same kind of pressure she felt when she started her career as a singer and performer many years ago. She describes feelings of uncertainty since she doesn’t know what to expect. She also worries what other people will expect from the film.
Madonna skyrocketed to popularity beginning in the 80s with an impressive list of hit albums and singles. Now a living legend and icon in the music industry, she says she has long proven herself in the music scene and intends to do the same on the big screen.
The film revolves around the story of a woman named Wally, played by Abbie Cornish, who is not happy with her marriage. Wally becomes fascinated with King Edward VIII’s abdication from the throne to be with the woman he loves, Wallis Simpson.
Madonna further adds she does not care what critics think of her personally. The only criticisms that she will take note however are those about her film. She welcomes any type of film review as a way to improve her directing skills and inspire her to pursue her dream of becoming a director.
These days, the glamorous pop star pays little attention to people talking about her personal life since she thinks of them as totally irrelevant. The film is scheduled to be released in December.
Does Madonna want to be nominated for an Oscar? Well, that’s one Madonna secret yet to be revealed.
