Baby Girls in Fashion for Spice Girls; Melanie Brown Delivers One Now

The Spice Girls’ clan has grown by one more as Melanie Brown has given birth to a baby girl.

Earlier today, she logged in to her account on micro-blogging website Twitter to announce that she has given birth to her first child with movie producer husband Stephen Belafonte.

She first tweeted, “Finally our baby arrives, Stephen nearly passed out, [daughter] Phoenix screamed,I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!”

And then she thanked her followers for all the good wishes by posting, “I am SOOOOOO blessed my heart is melting!!”

Brown was famously known as the Scary Spice during her time with the famous British girl band. So has the newborn baby girl been given a scary name to carry her mother’s nickname?

The couple have named the child Venus Andrea Storm Belafonte, which isn’t as scary as it is long. By doing so, they have beaten the new Beckham baby in the race of having the longest name. It should be noted that Victoria and David Beckham named their daughter Harper Seven Beckham.

Mel B already has two 12 and 3-year old daughters from her previous relationships, while her hubby also has one 6-year old girl, so it isn’t surprising that they got another baby girl together. After all, there aren’t any boys in Spice Girls.

Back in March, Brown had announced her pregnancy in an interview with Hello! “We’re really thrilled. We wouldn’t have planned and waited for four years to have a baby if we weren’t excited and ready for it,” she told the publication.
