Mommy Cher rises up, asks fans to protect Chaz Bono

Chaz Bono, formerly known as Chastity Bono, was one of the chosen few to star in the upcoming 13th season of the popular Dancing with the Stars. The gender-transitioning celebrity took some hits from the non-understanding parts of the world but mommy dearest and pop star icon Cher could not ignore the criticism directed at her son.

She took it to Twitter to voice her complaints: ”lovelies! Chaz is Being Viciously Attacked on Blogs & Message boards about being on DWTS! This is Still America right ? It took guts 2 do it”

And later added ”bet VAST MAJORITY of People will LOVE CHAZ on DWTS ! & it’s took Fkg Guts 2! Chaz isn’t exactly the “Gotta Dance Gotta Dance”kinda Guy

“I support him no matter what he chooses 2do! God! will there always be haters! It took COURAGE 2 do dwts ! TG Chaz has an Unlimited supply”

She would also ask her fans to retweet and get them to support her son as well.

Later in reaction to GLAAD’s denouncement of Chelsea Handler, who regularly rips the big celebrity item of the day, Cher couldn’t believe it: “I would have expected more from [Chelsea]?”
