Mel Gibson’s Ex Oksana Grigorieva’s Greed Results in $14 Million Loss

Mel Gibson and his former pianist girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have finally struck an agreement over the custody of Lucia- their child out of wedlock.

But the agreement reached between the pair is a financial disaster for Oksana, whose motive of snagging millions out of Mel’s pockets have been dealt a fatal blow.

Last year, Mel had offered Oksana a settlement worth $15 million but she rejected it and surprised many people, considering the financial generosity showed in it by the “Braveheart” actor.

Back then when she was asked what led her to reject the settlement agreement, she said that Mel poses a physical danger to her daughter and an abusive father like him should not be given alone time with Lucia.

But the media reports suggested that it wasn’t the actual reason of her rejection. In fact, her attorneys had told her to reject the agreement because they thought they could milk Gibson for far more money than $15 million as he had been physically abusive towards her.

Oksana must be kicking herself and her legal advisers now as in a shocking turn of events; she will be getting only $750,000. And about the unsupervised visitation that Oksana claimed was the cause of her rejection of original settlement draft, Mel has won on that front too. He has been granted more unsupervised contact with Lucia than he asked for in the original settlement agreement.

Mel would have to wait until Lucia turns three years old, in order to get equal custody time. But the new agreement splits Lucia’s time equally and Mel won’t have to wait as it was suggested in the original draft.
