George Clooney is not going to pursue his dream of being elected the US President, after deciding that he can’t do any better than the current top man Barack Obama, who has been struggling to contain the ever-growing problems of America.

The Academy Award-winning actor has been tipped to make the switch from Hollywood to politics a la Arnold Schwarzenegger due to his interest in several world peace interests, including his calls for ceasefire in Sudan. His charming good looks and his complete personality has led some to believe that he could be the second coming of President Ronald Reagan, who managed to occupy the White house for two terms after giving up a career in show business.

But Clooney who plays the character of a US Presidential hopeful in his upcoming movie “The Ides of March,” says that he will never attempt at turning to politics as a career.

Speaking at Italy’s Venice Film Festival, where his new movie is scheduled to debut, Clooney said, “There’s a guy in office right now who is smarter than almost anyone you know, who’s nicer and who has more compassion than almost anyone you know. And he’s having an almost impossible time governing. Why would anybody volunteer for that job?  I have a really good job. I get to hang out with very seductive people. So I have no interest.”

In “The Ides of March,” he stars alongside Ryan Gosling (his on-screen secretary), who has been thrust into dealing with a major sex scandal just days before the Democratic presidential polling.

Apart from Clooney and Gosling, the movie features Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei.
