Trey Smith rescues parents, Will & Jada, from gossip insanity

Bright and early this morning, gossip queens everywhere reveled in the news that power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were separated, which just an hour later translated into they were pretty much divorced. And then followed by accusations that their “open marriage” was in ruins from the start. But leave it to their loyal children to shut down these rumors hard and fast.

Trey Smith, Will’s child from a previous relationship and often referred to as her “bonus child” by Jada Pinkett, immediately smacked down the rumors by taking his anger to his Twitter account. Devoting several dozens of tweets and retweets to the topic matter until reports of the impending doom of the Smith family were reversed by the media.

Will married Sheree Zampino in 1992 and together had Trey but divorced in 1995. While Trey appeared in his father’s music video for the 1998 hit single “Just the Two of Us,” he’s the least visible of his other two children, Jaden and Willow Smith. According to his Facebook page, he’s currently working at Overbrook Entertainment, which is a talent agency co-founded by his father.
