Anne Hathaway Shows Her Rapping Skills on Conan [VIDEO]

Anne Hathaway, who will soon begin filming for her role of Selina Kyle in “The Dark Knight Rises,” has showcased one of her hidden talents on a talk show. Conan O’Brien urged Hathaway to express her troubles with the media in the form of a song, and while everyone was expecting some kind of a ballad, Hathaway surprised her viewers by unleashing a full blown rap verse.

Before delivering the high-pitched rap performance Hathaway said, “With all the stuff that’s going on with Batman, the paparazzi attention’s been a little intense. So I actually wrote a rap song about it…It’s in the style of Lil Wayne.”

Yes that last sentence amused Conan’s audience too but as soon as she began rapping, it was clear that the girl had done her homework.

In the 30 seconds-long video clip, she efficiently rhymed about the gutter nature of Paparazzi work and concluded the verse with a nice little dishing out of ‘butt slapping,’ sending the audience into raptures.

But as soon as the rap part got over, she came out of her Lil Wayne-inspired alter ego and giggled while covering her face.

The motive behind Hathaway’s visit to Conan O’Brien’s show was the promotion of her upcoming movie “One Day,” which is based on David Nicholls’ bestselling novel of the same name. The movie is scheduled for release on August 24.
