Jennifer Aniston reportedly joining soap opera Days of Our Lives, saving her dad’s job

Move over James Franco, you ain’t the only movie star who’s taking a plunge back to the “lowly” soaps. America’s sweetheart and mega movie star Jennifer Aniston is reportedly in talks with Days of Our Lives to play a role for several episodes. But not for the reason you may be thinking.

Aniston’s father, John Aniston, has been an actor on the show for 24 years and because of it’s low ratings, NBC has put it on the chopping block. But Jennifer’s popularity could help save it and she seems up for the challenge. Can we say “Awwwww, how sweet!”

The Express first got the scoop. “We’re hoping Jen will join us in November, when all the networks are at their most competitive,” a source told the paper. “She has said she wants to help but her schedule is so tight we may have to cram a lot of shooting into just a few days.”

Update: Either NBC is mad about this leaking or the rumors are not true. The network is saying that Aniston is not making a return to television with a soap opera.
