Charlie Sheen Backs “Two and a Half Men” to Stay a Hit

Has Charlie Sheen gone soft? The man, who has been a walking controversy for as long as we’ve known him, has been seen lavishing praises recently and that too on unlikely personalities.

A few days ago, he told her ex-wife Denise Richards that her new book ‘rocks’ and now he is back with some more positive things to say and the target is Ashton Kutcher, who replaced Sheen on “Two and a Half Men.” If Sheen had come out firing on all cylinders, hurling insults and abuses on Kutcher, then it would have been understandable. But kind words for his own replacement? That’s not Sheen-like.

Speaking in a quick word with RadarOnline, the Wall Street-star said, “Ashton is going to kill it. I’m actually rooting hard for (the cast). That worm is turning. It should be exciting.”

And that’s not it. Sheen says that he can’t wait to see the new “Two and a Half Men” cast in action, when the hit comedy series returns with new season on September 19.

He continued, “Who is not going to watch? I’ll be there front and center, I’m just as curious as everybody else. It should be fun.”

Like the fans, Sheen also has no idea how his character will be booted out of the show. Speculation is rife that an on-screen funeral will be conducted that will mark the end “Charlie Harper” on ‘Men.’

“I’ve got nothing I can reveal because they wouldn’t even give me a script! They didn’t trust me. It will be a nice surprise,” the actor added.

However, it wouldn’t have been right if Charlie gave an interview without blowing his own trumpet. He concluded the sit-down by saying, “It’ll be nice to know that they get some carry-over ratings from people being sort of curious about what happened to their guy.”
