Soulja Boy’s Spokesman Denies $55 Million Birthday Jet Rumors

Celebrity blog TMZ sent out mild shock waves by reporting that Soulja Boy has splashed $55 million for the purchase of a private jet as a gift for himself on his 21^st birthday. But the rapper’s representatives have swiftly moved to reject the report and free up their client of all the scrutiny that comes with such a massive outlay.

“Crank That” MC’s spokesman Greg Miller released a statement yesterday which read, “The elaborate rumors circulating about Soulja Boy purchasing a jet for his 21st birthday [on July 28] are grossly over exaggerated.” He then reiterated that the rumor mill is completely wrong this time.

TMZ’s source was a member of Soulja Boy’s media management group, who told the publication that the recently turned 21-year old star has purchased a G5 jet plane in exchange for $35 million. The source also claimed that Soulja is in the process of customizing the jet according to his liking- a process that involved spending a further $20 million.

While the rapper born DeAndre Cortez Way hasn’t personally said a word on the ‘$55 million’ jet reports, he did drop a tweet about his birthday party, on which he purportedly spent $300,000. On his Twitter account, Soulja wrote, “Yesterday was the best birthday! tonight will be the best party! these last 3 days have been the best of my life.”

While the reports of his massive spending habits refuse to die down, Radar Online has unveiled some documents according to which, Soulja owes thousands of dollars to States of California and Mississippi.
