We told you yesterday about how Jay-Z and Kanye West are planning a tour but last night they helped a good friend, Young Jeezy bring a New York crowd to a fever when they joined R. Kelly and Akon as his co-stars in song.

Despite being born in North Carolina Jeezy told the sell-out crowd at the Highline Ballroom on 16th Street that New York was like his second home. And he proved it. The doors didn’t even open until 9pm but the crowd were still ready to play. Funkmaster Flex got them warmed up, then Jeezy took the stage at 11.30pm.

It’s been six years since ‘Thug Motivation 101′ went platinum, but you’d never know it. He opened with ‘Standing Ovation’ and the crowd rapped along word for word. But during ‘Go Crazy’ the roof nearly came off as Jay-Z took the stage and joined in.

Half-an-hour later Jeezy was in full flow with ‘Put On’ – and Kanye appeared.

“I told y’all, we just getting started,” Jeezy said coolly after West left the stage.

A few more hits followed before the crowd got a new shock with Bun B’s appearance. The two sang ‘Trap or Die,’ and the crowd’s reaction was loud. Very loud.

Another highlight was an ‘a cappella’ version of ‘Win’ from his mixtape. which was followed by a visit from LOX.

Jeezy then calmed it down with ‘Tear It Up,’ and followed that with ‘Go Getta’ – and R. Kelly joined in. And no sooner had he left than Akon arrived, and the two of them then duetted on ‘Soul Survivor.’

The show finally closed in a tumult of sweat and excitement with ‘Lose My Mind,’ the first single from the new album, ‘TM 103.’ Then Jeezy took his bows to a thunderous ovation and crowd hit the doors.

What a show. And what a cast. Who’s sad they missed out?….
