No Dream Wedding for Kristin Cavallari

Kristin Cavallari‘s had been dreaming for a spectacular wedding with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, but unfortunately it isn’t gonna happen.

Earlier today, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that the duo has gone their separate ways after a relationship lasting 10 months.

Another anonymous source told the publication, “She got dumped. She’s absolutely devastated. She can’t believe this is happening.”

Cavallari and Cutler planned to get married in spring 2011 after they got engaged when the NFL athlete proposed to the reality television personality in Mexico.

The former couple was frequently seen together in Chicago and even though Cavallari wasn’t a permanent resident of the city, she intended to move in with Cutler before the start of the new NFL season.

PEOPLE’s source further added, “She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She’s in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way.”

A few days ago, Cavallari had posted a message on Twitter about her engagement, which suggests that Cutler’s dumping of her is a very fresh development. She tweeted, “Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!”

The wedding registry was also complete and the TV star had vowed to look her very best at her now-cancelled wedding.

At the weekend, she was seen at Los Angeles’s The Beverly Lounge with no engagement ring, about which PEOPLE’s source said, “She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. She was telling friends how they called off the engagement.”

So far, neither Cutler nor Cavallari has commented on the situation.
