It is common knowledge that rock band No Doubt is busy these days working on a new album that will mark their comeback after a recording hiatus of more than four years. And the band recently shared a photo of the whole group standing in a studio with music production team Major Lazer, who are well known for powering hits such as Beyonce’s “Run the World (Girls)” and Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” in recent times.

Following the picture sharing on micro-blogging website Twitter, No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont added a tweet to describe the scene in the photo. “We’re working on 3 different songs tonight [sic] in 3 different rooms in the same studio complex, all at once. Like magic, somehow it works. @majorlazer in one of those rooms. Cutting drums with Adrian [Young] at the moment,” he wrote.

Lead vocalist Gwen Stefanie, who had been concentrating on her solo career during the band’s hiatus, announced their comeback plan in 2009. The quartet then went on a music tour with fellow rockers Paramore.

Since then, speculation regarding the rejuvenate band’s next compilation has been rife and last year Gwen confirmed that they plan to release the new collective material in 2011.

She explained, “The main thing we were trying to do is write really catchy good songs. We got about 10 songs done and we want to do a few more just in case, but it’s a really good record, I really love this record.”
