James Franco dumped by girlfriend, schedule to blame?

James Franco is one of the most popular actors currently working, but apparently not with his girlfriend. Jim says he and Ahna O’Reilly have split after five years together.

“It’s over,” the 33-year old Golden Globe winner tells reporters. “We’d been living together in L.A. and then came to New York to go school for two years. Then I signed up for more school at Yale. I think that was it for her.”

It’s not hard to see why she left – Jim attends classes at Yale, NYU and Columbia. All at once. He also carves out a career as a visual artist and writer, and sometimes fits in some acting in his spare time.

Prior to his long romance with Ahna – who you’ll remember from ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ or ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ Jim was known to be dating 30-year old Marla Sokoloff, who starred in ‘Full House.’ He was also linked to Jude Law’s ex, Sienna Miller at one time. So the man’s got experience.

But Jim, who you can see next in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ which opens on August 3rd, has had some good news recently – He sold another piece of his invisible art this week – for $10,000.

So the field’s open, girls – Jim’s now fancy-free and would no doubt welcome new applications. Would you date him?
