Demi Lovato Reveals Release Date for New Album
Demi Lovato’s bad days seem to be over. A week ago, her single “Skyscraper” surged to the top of the iTunes chart and now the emotionally fragile singer is ready to get back in full flow. She resumed the limelight-rich celebrity life again, when she interacted with some of her devoted fans in a live chat last night (July 21).
Speaking from a recording studio in LA, Lovato appeared completely at ease, while addressing her loyal army of fans called “Lovatics.”
She said, “I hope you’re are screaming and jumping down in your room right now because I’m about to tell you when my album is releasing,” before announcing the September 20 premier of her next album.
When quizzed about the theme and sound of her yet unnamed album, she confirmed that she has abandoned her pop rock approach to make way for a style that highlights her vocal range. She further added, “I’m feeling really, really comfortable on what we have so far.”
The “Here We Go Again” crooner already has around 20 recorded songs for the forthcoming disc, which suggests that most of the studio work is done.
She also hinted that plans for a promo campaign are already in the making. The teen star said, “If I was to tour, I would announce it soon and maybe, possibly, I’m in the works of putting together a tour. Maybe. And maybe it’ll be all around the world. I don’t know. I’m just saying.”
Lovato also shared some details about her “Skyscraper” video that has been creating all the buzz recently. She explained, “I had to go to that place in my mind that I was in when I recorded the song, so it was very emotional. It was actually a very intimate set. There wasn’t very many people there. We took a plane with about 15 people and that was it. We went to the middle of a desert and shot this music video. … It turns out to be my favorite video I’ve done and hopefully you guys feel the same.”
Just before the chat’s conclusion, she also let it slip that she is going to make a Spanish version of her smash hit “Skyscraper” for her Hispanic followers.
