Marc Anthony in Good Spirits after Divorce

Just 24 hours after the conclusion of his marriage with Jennifer Lopez became public news, Marc Anthony commented on his private life in front of a large crowd. During his performance at Columbia’s Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park this last Saturday, he addressed his listeners and joked, “They’re saying I’m single.”

His light attempt at humor pleased the crowd and they sounded their approval by loudly applauding the “You Sang to Me” singer. According to People, Anthony looked upbeat throughout the show and also managed to do a bit of flirting with the female section of the crowd. He blew kisses at girls and after one attractive woman caught her attention, he publicly admired her looks and said, “You’re so beautiful.”

Anthony and Lopez’s officially ended their marriage of seven years last week. It came as a surprise to the fans and the media, who hadn’t noticed any major friction between them before. They released a joint statement on Friday, which reads, “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

But their divorce will have no effect on their working relationship. The parents of 3-year old twins are expected to continue with their plans of launching “Q’Viva: The Chosen,” in which the former couple will travel to different parts of the Americas to unearth the next big musical talent. According to XIX Entertainment, “They’re both committed to iQ’viva! and will work on it as planned. The show goes on!”
