Demi Lovato and Ryan Phillippe: Dating or not?

You might not think of Demi Lovato and Ryan Phillippe as a possible couple but it may be time to rethink your views – rumors are becoming insistent that the two are really a pair.

Up to now Demi, 18, has been all about Wilmer Valderamma, and before that was Joe Jonas. And 36-year old Ryan was dating Amanda Seyfried, and that was after his 7-year marriage to Reese Witherspoon.

But sources close to the two say they’ve been getting close for 2-3 months.

The connection apparently happened quite slowly, but things soon warmed up:

“It was really hot and heavy for a while,” says a close friend, adding that Ryan’s recent baby with ex-girlfriend, Alexis Knapp meant Demi wasn’t sure if or how to proceed; “Until it basically happened, it kind of threw her for a loop,” we are told.

Reps for both sides are keeping silent at present so you’ll just have to decide if you believe this or not. The signs all seem good but the timing of such a press-friendly rumor – just as Demi’s single comes out – does make you wonder if the story’s for real.
