NBC recently brought Chris Brown on its “Today” show, which attracted a record crowd of 18,000 people. The free show’s immense success upset FOX News and it criticized NBC for featuring Brown and highlighted 2009’s ‘Rihanna’ incident to hurl some dirt over the R&B superstar.

This fresh attempt to tarnish Breezy’s image hasn’t gone down well with 50 Cent, who has now come to his friend’s verbal rescue.

The outspoken rapper logged in on his Twitter account yesterday and wrote: “I just saw a clip on FOX news Hating on NBC for having chris brown on unbelievable. I’m never watching that again. He paid for his mistake #!@*# holes.”

Brown quickly noticed Fiddy’s kind words and so he tweeted, “Don’t worry bro.. They mad because of the level of real people who live in this world. Not to mention their ratings probably sucked.”

When he was made aware of FOX’s hate for him a day or so ago, Brown’s immediate reply was: “People really should grow up sometimes! I guess the next story they make up will say ‘chris brown paid the fans to come! #stopit5 hahaha..’,”

He then tweeted some more comments over this issue. “I get it though! They are upset at the fact that the today show actually focuses on talent instead of an almost 3 year old incident!. Running bogus and pointless stories don’t matter! My fans prove that everyday and the haters just look old as F**k !”

He concluded his rant with one more tweet, in which he said, “I keep my head high and my middle finger higher! I love team breezy. Let’s just laugh it off cuz they mad. Ahahahahaha..Fame + Platinum= Fortune! Nobody can take my joy. I have some of the most incredible fans in the world. Goodnight y’all!”

NBC’s “Today” show took place on Friday morning at the Rockefeller Center and so many people showed up to see the F.A.M.E. star that several additional blocks had to be shut down in order to accommodate the concergoers.

But what impressed thousands on location and millions at home, failed to work its magic on FOX, whose host Laura Ingraham criticized NBC for “rewarding bad behavior.”

Talking to the network’s viewers, she further added, “You may remember the singer Chris Brown, he pleaded guilty to beating his then girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. Sane Americans were disgusted by his bad behavior but that did not stop him from getting top billing this morning on the ‘Today’ show.”
