Justin Bieber’s ‘Someday’ sets $3m sales record

One day we’ll find something Justin Bieber can’t do. This day isn’t it. The pop idol is now on course to set a new record with ‘Someday’ as the highest-selling celebrity scent ever made.

Justin’s skills with aromas have resulted in $3-million in sales of his fruit-tinged indulgence – in only three weeks. And the bosses at Macy’s in Herald Square are understandably jazzed:

“Justin’s ‘Someday’ has resonated with our customers and become the biggest celebrity fragrance launch on record,” said Terry Lundgren, Macy’s president and chairman.

Their previous best seller was ‘Heat’ by Beyonce, which did $3-million in its first month. But Justin’s already stomped all over that laudable score, and his sales show no sign of even slowing down.

The 17 year-old had to be protected from fans when he attended the launch of ‘Someday’ back on June 24th. He was even knocked over by what was later found to be a plain-clothes detective. But he survived and told fans what inspired him to create the new line;

“I’m concerned about how girls smell because I’m a guy,” he told reporters. “I know what smells good, and I know what I like, so girls should know – if I like it, other guys are going to like it.”

So far his fans like it so much, the scent is on course to be the biggest selling fragrance of 2011.
