Kate Hudson names new baby ‘Bingham Hawn’
Clearly determined to avoid being upstaged by David and Victoria Beckham naming their new girl, Harper Seven, new mommy Kate Hudson has just announced the new name of her baby – Bingham Hawn Bellamy.
“So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn Bellamy,” new dad, Matt Bellamy, 33, told 82,00 close friends on Twitter. “Mom was a warrior: Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!”
Friends say Kate and Matt were debating choices for weeks but finally picked the name for their new 7lb 12oz star on Wednesday. The ‘Hawn’ part is a tribute to Kate’s mom, Goldie Hawn, but there’s no clue yet on where ‘Bingham’ comes from.
An indie band called ‘The Dead Horses’ is fronted by Ryan Bingham, the archaeologist Hiram Bingham discovered the fabled city of Machu Picchu in Peru in 1805, a town is Michigan is called Bingham and there’s a county with the same name in Idaho….But those don’t sound too likely, do they?
So what do you think – Do you guys like the new name, and what’s your guess on ‘Bingham’s source?…
