‘James Bond’ star Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz married
In news that is the complete reverse of Hollywood behavior ‘James Bond’ star Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have got married in a very low-key service. It happened last Wednesday, only four people were present…and that’s all we know.
Daniel’s publicist, Robin Baum, confirms the pair tied the knot somewhere in New York state, with just Daniel’s 18-year old daughter Ella and Rachel’s son, Henry plus two family friends who served as legal witnesses to the union.
No other details were released.
“Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding,” one source tells reporters. “They are madly in love and couldn’t wait to be husband and wife – but they wanted minimum fuss.”
The pair met while filming the forthcoming movie ‘Dream House.’ Rumors of romance began in November and grew louder when both sides suddenly dropped their existing partners – Rachel and ‘Black Swan’ director Darren Aronovsky had been dating for nine years and Daniel was engaged to Satsuki Mitchell for five, then broke it off with no explanation.
The new pair then shared a quiet Christmas among the lush beauty of Somerset and were seen holding hands several times;
“Daniel and Rachel looked like a romantic couple in a film,” one witness recalled. “They were laughing and hanging on to each other’s words and clinging to each other like honeymooners. The chemistry was obvious.”
And that gave fans all the proof they could need.
The pair were last seen in public in London last March where Dan’s new wife was spied dragging the 43-year old actor into Louis Vuitton and several other upscale stores – for reasons which have now become clear.
The lack of details on this marriage is really unusual for stars of this level, but there is no word whatever on honeymoon plans or where they might live. ‘Dream House’ opens sometime in September and that looks like our next chance to see them…
