American Idol gets huge ratings but a star of one of its spin-offs is facing some trouble – British X-Factor judge, Louis Walsh has been accused of sexually assaulting a young man in a nightclub bathroom.

Mr. Walsh, 59, best known for creating the boy-bands Westlife, Boyzone and Jedward, is accused of assaulting the unnamed accuser in a Dublin nightclub and has firmly denied the man’s lurid claims;

“The allegations made against me are wholly false and with no foundation,” he says in a statement. “I will happily co-operate fully with the police and I am 100-percent confident I will be fully exonerated.”

Mr. Walsh is the only original judge on the UK version of the show as both its creator, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have now left. He’s well liked by both fans and contestants as he offers a less sarcastic review of the acts than that for which Mr. Cowell is well known.

The 24-year old alleged victim claims he met Mr. Walsh at a hotel in Dublin then joined him at a nearby nightclub, where he claims he was assaulted. Police are now examining footage from the club’s security cameras to determine if the accusations are true.
