Lindsay Lohan in court, avoids jail time – again
After a transparent publicity stunt with Matt Lauer yesterday former actress and singer, Lindsay Lohan faced a judge in LA County Court this morning after a failed sobriety test that could have finally put her in jail
Dressed in a Steve Alan striped shirt, Sass & Bide pants and Chanel shoes, accented with a Balenciaga bag and a Roseark necklace we believe she actually paid for the 24-year old performer arrived at court in a Chevrolet Escalade at 9.48am local time and faced Judge Stephanie Sautner, who would determine her fate.
“This was meant to be a little private conference with the attorneys,” the Judge told the mass of assembled media at the start of proceedings. “If you all thought there was going to be something exciting happening, I wouldn’t count on it.”
The L.A. County Probation Department planned to ask the Judge to void Lindsay’s house arrest and commit her to jail, but Sautner ruled that Judge Eldon Fox – who imposed the tests as part of Lohan’s confinement – only required them to be conducted between January 3rd and February 25th of this year.
This being the case, Lohan was not in breach of the rules and no incarceration was therefore required, the attorneys were told. She is, however, forbidden to host further parties like the wild BBQ she held there last weekend.
“I feel like you guys are disappointed,” Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley told the throng of reporters outside the court. “She’s done nothing wrong. She’s done everything right. So let’s give her credit for that.”
Lohan left the court moments later and returned to her Malibu beach house to complete the four-month house-arrest term that is due to expire on June 29…
