Mariah Carey wants $-Millions for baby pics, pals say no dice
Mariah Carey has already won a great deal of press from her new twins, Moroccan Scott and Monroe. But sources say the pop diva is heading for failure in her bid to score millions of dollars for their first baby pictures.
First, Mariah did an interview with Us Weekly in November, then April found her naked and pregnant on a ‘Life & Style’ cover. Several editors are now bidding for the first baby shots but friends claim Mariah is keen to make the results tasteful as well as rewarding;
“Mariah and Nick are more concerned with doing the right thing than going to the highest bidder,” says one pal. “They’re talking to a number of publications about doing it in the most tasteful way, but the first picture remains very valuable to the paparazzi.”
Don’t let the diplomacy fool you – The twins were born on April 30th and insiders say Mariah’s decision to hide them this long stems from her wish to earn the same for their pictures as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got for shots of Knox and Vivienne back in 2008 – About $14-million.
“She is still deciding if she’s going to do the pictures. She is enjoying being a mom, and there’s no rush,” says a close friend with a refined sense of irony. “It’s not about the money.”
Brad and Angie donated their fee to charity. Meanwhile spies claim Mariah could be lucky to even get $200,000.
“There’s not much movement right now,” one source confirms. “Everyone wants them and is putting in offers, but times and budgets have changed since the Brangie years.”

Wow, I thought the bidders are going to bid like the same amount that Brad and Angelina got. Two hundred thousand dollars is pretty low for Mariah’s standards. Even Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera got their own millions for their baby pictures. Didn’t expect that the editors will bid that low for Mariah’s twins. I hope they could get a classy cover, unlike that Life & Style cover where Mariah looks like a tacky pregnant woman.

Frankly I am sick of celebrities getting millions or hundreds of thousands for their baby pictures. The only people worth it were Brad and Angie. After that I could care less. Congrats to Mariah but children are NOT PAYDAYS.
