Amy Winehouse cancels European tour, rehab next?

After one of the most ungainly performances her fans can remember Amy Winehouse has now canceled the rest of her European tour to ‘sort herself out.’

The initial plan was to cancel two shows in Turkey last night and Greece on Wednesday, but a statement from her spokesman, Chris Goodman makes it clear that’s no longer the plan;

“Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances,” it reads. ”Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen.”

The decision to abort follows a disastrous concert on Saturday at which Amy seemed drunk and forgot the words to her own songs. The evening bordered on farce and Amy was eventually booed off the stage. She was due to resume the tour in Bilbao, Spain on July 8th. Not any more.

Amy’s battle with addiction is sadly well known, yet she recently told the BBC she’d been clean for three years. But just before the tour started she spent a week at London’s Priory Clinic – which is well known for helping clients with rehab.
