Glee star Charice called Fattie, deletes Facebook
Looks like some stars today cannot take the heat if ever some negative comments are thrown at them.
Filipino international singing sensation Charice has decided to delete her Facebook account after one of her supposed former female Filipino fans commented that she looks fat these days. Feeling slighted by the comment, Charice made the decision to delete her Facebook account.
The fans earlier said on the FB page of Charice that she looked fat in her recent guesting on the globally popular “Glee” television program. Instead of taking the comment positively, Charice decided to go on a different direction and decides to delete her FB account instead. Charice even defended her act of deleting her FB account saying it is the best thing to do after some fans reportedly made negative comments against her.
“Glad I deleted my Facebook. It’s funny to invade some non-public pages and see other “not so true chasters” talk negative stuff about me,” Charice said on her Twitter account. The report that Charice deleted her Facebook account drew negative comments from her fans all over the world who viewed her act as a form of onion skinned from a fast rising celebrity.
Charice is starting to make waves these days with her frequent Glee guesting and the continued popularity of her smash hit single “Pyramid”. Charice became a hit when Oprah the queen of talk allowed her to grace her former top rating television talk show Oprah many times.
Oprah who earlier discovered Charice via the popular website “Youtube” also actively promotes the career of the fast rising Filipino teen singing superstar.

Not a well-researched article. She deleted her personal facebook not because of negative comments…she has dealt with that issue long before.. this time she felt betrayed by some close friends who she did not expect will be backstabbing her… please quote the twitter message entirely so you don’t lose context.
I think Charice is not really that fat. Her head is just humongous, I think her cheeks looks really big! Good thing she’s got pure talent, she should invest in that department instead of getting pre-occupied with the “Fat” comments. She can be as big as Aretha Franklin or Mariah Carey and people with not care, because she’s got the pipes. She’s not Beyonce or Rihanna so she should stop trying hard to look like them.
I think Charice is already used to dealing with negative comments, she’s also a Filipino celebrity and Filipinos can really throw a punch when it comes to giving negative comments. I also think that she doesn’t have only 1 FB account, she has a personal one reserved for those who are really close to her. People will do crazy stuff just to be recognized, that includes backstabbing a close friend, who happens to be very popular, just to get that. We should never be ashamed of our body, fat or thin, instead we should consider it unique, something that’s only meant for a specific person.
I think being in Showbiz , good or bad publicity is always a publicity, I know she will get over this, she is a fighter and I love her voice and it doesn’t matter as long as you like her, she is a good singer and I wish her Luck……

CHARICE… Just focus on the positive not the negative. There would always be people who would throw negative stuffs about you. That’s what they enjoy doing. constructive criticism about her weight and presumed lack of discipline when it comes to food is not “backstabbing.” these were people who cared about her and want her to succeed. they want to tell her the truth without sugarcoating it. Charice’s reaction, calling them backstabbers is immature and not well thought out. they took risks by being honest to her and this is how repays their candor. sad…
charice got a little bit carried away by the lure of adobo, chicharon bulaklak, crispy pata, dinuguan, kare-kare, lechon kawali, paksiw na pata and bulalo. not contented with that, she then attacks cake, bibingka, sago and gulaman, ube ice cream and mango cream pie from Red Ribbon. LOL it was also reported that all throughout the day, she munches on sipao bola-bola w/ iklog or her personal fave-siopao asado extra sauce. omg! I was shocked coz when i saw her on Glee’s finale, she had no neck. lmao!
I think the writer should do a bit more research: Charice deleted her FB account because of “friends” who were very nice in front of her but who she found out were back-biters. Another thing, the reactions from her fans all over the world were generally sympathetic to her, contrary to what is stated in this article.
