Dan Gilbert to LBJ: No shortcuts to NBA crown
Looks like the bad blood between Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and his former player now Miami Heat superstar forward Lebron James is not about to end.
After the Dallas Mavericks beat the Heat in Game 6 of the National Basketball Association Finals to claim the championship crown this year. Gilbert posted a message on his Twitter account congratulating the Mavericks and taking some pot-shot at James.
In his Twitter account Gilbert said “Mavs NEVER stopped & now entire franchise gets rings. Old Lesson for all: There are NO SHORTCUTS. NONE.” It can be recalled that after James decided to leave the Cavaliers to play for the Heat and his buddies Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, Gilbert was very angry at his former superstar player.
Out of anger, Gilbert went on to lash out at James saying he quit in the playoffs the past two NBA seasons. Gilbert also promised that karma would prevent James from winning a championship and predicted his Cavaliers would win their first title before “the self-proclaimed King” won one.
It was learned that aside from Gilbert the rest of the Cavaliers fans were also happy that James failed in his dream to get an NBA crown this year.
Like Gilbert, majority of Cavaliers fans were very angry and disappointed when James decided to leave the team and play for the Heat. Looks like, the LBJ bashing would continue for quite some time.

Lebron is a professional athlete bound by contracts. When a contract ends he’s free to go to another team. I’m also an athlete and played for a lot of teams, it’s one way for us to grow. No offense to Lebron’s coach but aren’t coaches supposed to support their athletes, help him to become the best that he can be? Exposure to other coaching strategies can also improve the way he plays.
