Lily Allen weds, announces pregnancy

In a sure sign the good times of Summer are here British singing star Lily Allen and her longstanding boyfriend, Sam Cooper made it official today and got married.

Swathed in a handmade lace gown from French designer Daphine Manivet the 26-year old singer married Sam in a traditional ceremony among the lush rolling hills of Gloucestershire in the south-western part of the country.

About 100 close friends witnessed the pairing at St. James the Great church in Cranham this morning, with 300 invited to the couple’s reception at Lily’s $4-million home located nearby.

Lily and Sam began dating last Summer after she broke up with Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers. In August she announced she was pregnant but then came a miscarriage. When a later pregnancy went the same way Lily got a flood of supportive tweets from friends like Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.

But Lily’s sister, Sarah told British fans she will try again;

“She’s absolutely determined to be a mom,” we were told. “This is what she wants more than anything in the world; more than her singing career.”

And it seems Sarah was right – During the reception Sam told their friends Lily is 16-weeks pregnant. The pair apparently wanted to keep the news private until she’d passed the critical 12-week point, but Lily recently had a CT scan and the baby looks fit and well.
