Hangover smashes Box Office records with $118M jackpot

The world loves it’s crazy, naked men. Err, at least the funny ones anyway.

The Hangover Part II rolled over the competition and finished it off with the top-grossing weekend ever for a live-action comedy. Raking in $86,480,000 in 3,615 theaters, only The Matrix Reloaded did any better for R-Rated movies and The Fast Five and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides for this year. Add this on top of a $31.6 million Thursday opening, and you got yourself one drunk winner.

Pretty good for a movie that critics pretty much panned as a dud. That’s one for the drunk dudes, Huzzah!
