NFL quarterback Tony Romo gettin’ hitched this weekend

Cue the wedding bells, looks like one football quarterback is using the NFL lockout downtime to his own advantage.

Tony Romo is set to exchange vows today with a certain beauty pageant queen, Candice Crawford — best known as the 24-year old little sister to big-whoop Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford. TMZ is reporting that the little occasion will take place at the historic Arlington Hall Mansion at Lee Park in Dallas.

But what appeared to be a secret affair, is now turning public and the Jesssica Simpson dumping playboy can thank his big boss for that. Because of the lockout, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones needed “special permission” from the NFL to actually attend the wedding. No joke, as Radar Online learned.

I’ve gotten special permission. But more than anything [I got the] right ticket from him and his fiancée, Romo’s wife-to-be.  [It's] one of the prettiest invitations I’ve ever seen…[I'm] proud for him. He’s go the best end of this deal.

Well, happy times for the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Romo. The two have been dating since summer 2009 and just got engaged this past December.
