(HMG Celebrity News) – Best known for reality shows such as Survivor and The Apprentice Mark Burnett is teaming with his wife, actress Roma Downey (Touched By an Angel), to produce ‘The Bible,’ a 10-hour, CGI-heavy miniseries on The History Channel. In his first scripted TV project, Burnett says via USA, that The Bible due in spring 2013, will be told chronologically, from Genesis to Revelations, and feature segments on Noah’s Ark, the Exodus, the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. “It’s an enormous book” that features some of the “best storytelling,” he says. “My dream is that one day I can overhear a kid at school saying ‘That was epic.’” Richard Bedser, the writer of History’s Gettysburg, premiering May 30, is also writing this new project.
