Nicolas Cage faces no charges over New Orleans arrest

[HMG Celebrity News] – If you’re one of the throng who believe celebrities get special treatment at the hands of the law, here’s more proof. It’s been announced that Nicolas Cage will face no charges after his arrest for domestic abuse and disturbing the peace on April 16.

The 47-year old actor was arrested in Louisiana’s French Quarter after witnesses claimed he grabbed the arm of his wife, Alice Kim and was allegedly seen pounding on nearby cars during an argument about whether a nearby house was the one they were renting while Nic’s in the area shooting a movie.

“The New Orleans DA has confirmed no charges of any kind will be pursued against him,” says Nic’s attorney Harry Rosenberg. “We’re pleased the process led to the correct result. Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped.”

Nic was released soon after his arrest when Duane Chapman – ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ for all you reality fans – put up an $11,000 bond. The charges included domestic abuse, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness, but they’ve all been dismissed.
