Diana Ross to be guardian of Michael Jackson’s three kids

[HMG Celebrity News] – You may have seen reports which claimed Diana Ross would become guardian to Michael Jackson’s three children once his beloved mother, Katherine is no longer with us. Well, it turns out they’re true.

New information proves Diana is even named in Michael’s will as the second guardian, after his mom. The recent stories claimed the 67-year old Motown legend had refused to accept such responsibility, but that’s completely untrue.

“Diana has made no move whatsoever to not fulfill the role Michael intended for her,” a source tells Radar. “Michael didn’t trust anyone in his family, besides his mother, to raise the children. But Michael loved Diana and chose her for a specific reason.”

And it looks like such forward planning was a solid idea – Katherine will be 81 on May 4th and it was recently revealed in court papers she already has a live-in caregiver.

“Katherine’s a very doting, loving grandmother,” says the source. “She just isn’t getting any younger and that’s why Michael named a second guardian.”

But with typical restraint, Diana has not intruded on Katherine’s role. She’s kept in contact with Prince Michael, Paris and ‘Blanket’ but ensured Katherine was always in charge.

“She will step in if there’s an immediate need,” the informant assures us.

And it’s not like she hasn’t had practice – Diana has five children of her own from two previous marriages, and one daughter – Rhonda – even made her a grandma in 2009.

Diana was one of the few people Michael could trust and this would be her chance to show such faith was well placed. Will she be a worthy custodian to his three children? If not, who would you pick?…
