(HMG Celebrity News) – Simon Cowell has finally announced the other likely judges on his upcoming show “The X Factor.”  In an interview with Deadline Hollywood, Cowell says that Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole are his choices to fill the last two judges spots, but that that neither has signed a contract yet.

So far only the former chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group, Antonio “L.A.” Reid has been confirmed to join Cowell as a judge on “X Factor,” which is offering a $5 million prize for the winner and a recording contract.    The show is set to start airing on Fox television in September, and Cowell is determined to bring in two judges he has worked with in the past.

“I’ve always wanted Paula,” Cowell told Deadline Hollywood:

“I missed her the second she left [Idol],” Cowell tells Deadline. “Always loved working with her, even though she can be a pain.”

“I’ve never found anyone better than her. I think there’s a good chance it will be her. We’ve agreed we would meet with as many people as possible, and now (that) we’re reaching the deadline we’ve got to make the decision soon. But I think she’s got a really good shot,” he said.

Cowell added that he would like Cole to join him, although the former Girls Aloud singer and a judge on the U.K. version of “X Factor” is virtually unknown in the United States.
